Which superzoom bridge camera?

Hey, so i think I fancy a camera and would like to buy one today in the 4th july sales (Texas)... I've got it down to a few options, Fuji s2950/s3200/s3300/s4000, kodak z981 or nikon l120.

Now the s3300 and s4000 have the best zoom by far at 26x and 30x but are these necessarily the best?

I want to be able to take good macro shots and have a long zoom for taking pictures out at sea.

Which of these cameras would you say is best all round? I've read reviews on em all and they all get a good writeup.

Also is there any other you would recommend that I may have not considered?

Thanks in advance!

I have fujifilm HS10 with a 30x zoom and I am more than happy with it, both both zoom shots and maco shots.

Cheers, I have been and bought the S3300, slightly lower zoom at 26x but the lens gets better reviews, I read some saying they changed the lens in the S4000 and it results in almost 'painted' effect in some pictures.

Very pleased with it so far, just trying to work out how to use all the manual control!

Can I ask, how do you change the aperture settings? I only seem to be able to switch between two settings?!

Do you have any sample pics online that I could take a look at? I haven't had a real chance to explore the camera yet!

This is a gallery of images taken with your camera - my personal camera is the S2950, which I am perfectly happy with

Cool thanks, i'll have to take a look tonight, work has it blocked!

Good to hear you two are happy with the finepix offerings. I looked at the 2950 but the 3300 wasn't much more so thought what the heck, treat myself!

Perhaps one day i'll upgrade to a full DSLR offering but for now the S3300 seems pretty decent.

(everything from March (the moon) on wards)

On case you have not worked it out yet, to just the aperture setting, after selecting a mode that allows manual control of the aperture (A) then use the smaller wheel to adjust the setting.

Cheers mate, unfortunately the S series doesn't have that second little wheel to adjust things, its done by the buttons on the back. I can switch between F3.1 and F8.0 manually but that seems to be it, yet if I go to shutter speed control with auto aperature it varies quite a lot, F3.1 up to I think I saw F15.0, and allsorts in between!

must be possible to do it manually, I probably just going about it wrong.
