Shell-shaped pasta for me.

I hate the way they end up inside each other, instead of being properly coated in sauce. Arrgh! The design is just wrong!

Corn on the cob because it gets stuck in your teeth.

Grated cheese in a sandwich is a stupid concept.

Broad beans that need to be de-podded before cooking - takes ages to do and then eaten in two minutes! But it's worth it.

I agree, it gets everywhere!

Rice Krispies always seem to get everywhere in our house too, they never just stay in the packet!

Spaghetti. Can never pick it up properly on my fork, end up having to cut it and it takes forever, by the time I've done that it's gone cold D:

What's annoying about them, though?

Another one - cutting tomatoes, especially when all you have is a regular knife. Aaargh! The impenetrable skin!

Unpasteurised, unhomogenised milk.
I have to get it straight from the farm because, for some stupid, illogical reason, it's illegal to sell it in shops.

Most recently, skinning a dover sole. Pomegranates are a lot of bother. And water melon. I love water melon on a hot day but just biting into it is so messy. They are all worth the effort though!

Root Beer. I LOVE root beer and I can only get it on a Saturday morning from an American food stall in the local market. It costs £1.50 a can!!

I used to have these issues with Cherry Coke too, but Pound Land do them 3 cans for £1. For some reason Cherry Coke isn't popular in Northern Ireland.

Spinach. You have to wash it, then somehow get it completely dry so it doesn't end up soaking wet when you cook it. Then what looked like enough for an entire village turns out to be only a teaspoonful when cooked.

Omg spaghetti is potentially the most humiliating food to ever eat in front of anyone. Only attempt if with someone you don't mind getting stuff all over yourself.

I hate peeling and chopping swede. It takes forever but a roast's not a roast without it.

I tend to cut it in half before cooking. I don't care if it's not authentic or not the done thing. I find it easier to eat.

Funnily enough of all the pasta shapes, spaghetti is probably the one I eat least. Maybe because it's difficult to eat.
