Well it's not banned like it is in Scotland. Whether you can get it is another matter.

I've just read an article that states that there are around 100 licenced producers of unpasturised milk in Scotland.

Lobster claws are like that, if it hasn't been cracked before serving

Hard to buy - Malaysian food

Hard to make - Pasta

Hard to eat - Any kind of salad. Takes up loads of room on a plate or box, takes ages to eat enough to fill me up and is mostly made up of bitter rocket.

Cheese Sauce, I hate making it, it never happens the same way twice, sometimes it takes forever to thicken, sometimes it splits, argh!

Cheese sauce I am famous for making it's warming the milk prior to adding to the melted butter and flour mix that's the secret

Me too. I break the spaghetti into 3rds. I can't stand it flapping everywhere or can't be bothered with the twist method

Oh and I love prawns but hate it when they come all head and tails and you have to fart on with them

Avocados in general! So delicious but never simple to cut/stone/slice

I once got an incredibly cheap frozen lobster from Aldi.

After defrosting it, attempting to delicately hack the shell with a sharp knife for a few minutes and ending up bashing it with a rolling pin, and trying futilely to get the flesh out with a fork and then a skewer and finally a needle I ended up with a tiny amount of waterlogged flesh that would have fitted into an eggcup.

And a kitchen generously sprinkled with lobster-water.

So, not such a bargain after all.

Pineapples. Difficult to slice up properly.

Fresh peas. No wonder frozen were an instant hit.

Is that sterilised milk?

My dad used to drink that - rotten stuff

Avocados. Particularly "Ready to eat" ones from a supermarket. Day1 - hard, Day2 - hard, Day 3 - hard, Day 4 hard, Day5 - Rotten.

If the avocado is still hard place it in a brown paper bag on the day of purchase and fold the bag closed. Three days later you'll have a perfectly ripe fruit.

Same with Nectarines. I had one and it was as hard as an apple. I then put them in the breadbin with a banana for a couple of days and when I tried one it was almost disintegrating whilst eating it.
