Lady Gaga - Judas
Lady Gaga - Black Jesus/Amen Fashion
Diana Vickers - My Wicked Heart
The Saturdays - Forever Is Over

- Can't understand why all of these were so badly recieved...

PS: Black Jesus is one of my favourite tracks on Born This Way

Some of the songs on Bionic. They were REALLY not as terrible as they were dismissed as.

I don't think BTW/Judas deserved the negativity in terms of song quality either. The former in particular is a fantastic pop song when you let go of all the drama.

Those were my two favourite ones. I liked Bionic, I Am, Little Dreamer and Stronger Than Ever too.

When my iTunes went wrong and I had to re-upload my songs I didn't put Bionic back on my iPod!

There were a couple of good songs though!!!

NOT MYSELF TONIGHT

It wasn't exactly pop perfection, but it had that something that made me want to listen again and again and it was insanely infectious and it had this anthemic feel.Of course Christina slayed the vocals on this one too.

Woohoo is also a very misunderstood song. It's fun, it doesn't take itself too seriously and it's also anthemic and has a very special vibe

I kind of disagree with the people who think the reaction to Judas was unfair. At this time period, Lady GaGa was the hugest pop star in the world and she was about to release one of the most anticipated albums of the digital era, so we all expected something spectacular as opposed to just a solid pop song. And of course its release was rather stupid and made me realise that GaGa is not a genius (which was later validated with the EOG video), because lyrically, it was quite a clever metaphor, yet she completely forgot that a big part of the music audience nowadays consists of kids and teenagers from 7 to 14.How many of them could understand this metaphor??? Katy's E.T. was a metaphor as well, but kids could relate to it because it had key lyrics like "Kiss me, take me" etc. Gaga didn't put anything like that in the song.
And it wasn't exactly a flop.It just didn't really set the charts alight

Xtinas Bionic was fantastically solid as a Pop album! and there were a couple "filler" i loved it!

I Am, Bionic, Desnudate, Birds of Prey, Stronger Than Ever, You Lost Me, Lift Me Up, Monday Morning, glam and Prima DOnna were instantaneous smashes!

I totally agree with the OP about Forever Is Over by The Saturdays. I loved this track and could not understand why it was widely labelled as a poor choice for a lead single.

On the topic of Bionic as everyone else seems to have discussed it I personally found it to be very disappointing and hardly ever listen to any of the songs on it anymore...

I would agree with Lady Gaga's Judas. I don't really like the new album, but Judas is one of the few tracks on it I love. I also quite liked Alejandro and everyone seems to hate that one.

I like Kesha's We R who we R too, lots of people seem to think it was a travesty that it got number one

What's to understand it was Christina sounding emotionally detatched singing half rate material which attempted and failed to replicate other successful artists. Glam is one of the worst songs I have ever heard. There were certainly no clever concepts that went into the song writIng here, simply trend-following sadly.

Some songs were not good, but some other were amazing. I UNDERSTAND that Christina wanted to do something really anthemic and the vocals / melodies fit the frame. The beats...hmm...not so much.I also UNDERSTAND that Christina didn't really want to be lyrical on this album, she just wanted to play around...and she did it perfectly. Finally, I UNDERSTAND that the album we got was not the one Christina was talking about in 2008/2009, because of her label's interventions. The track that SHE and Sia had suggested as the lead single is not even on the album. So, I respect Christina because her label abused her vision and she tried to come up with a new one that represented her at least PARTLY (anthems and fun as I mentioned) at the last minute. She recorded 4 of the songs on Bionic 2 months before release. Not Christina at all!!! I believe that she actually liked NMT and WooHoo, as I did and I found them both AMAZING fun pop records. She was just given a short amount of time and she kind of confused the material that she likes to hear from other artists and the material that she wanted to represent HER in the market. STILL AN AMAZING ALBUM

Whenever I hear Glam with the "lets get" I always think it should be "physical".

Bionic woud have made an amazing ten track album - Elastic Love, Birds Of Prey, Little Dreamer, Stronger Than Ever, You Lost Me, Bionic, Desnudate, Monday Morning, I Am and Lift Me Up. But in the form it was released, it completely deserved the criticism it got. It's a bad album, but there are some fantastic songs hidden in there.

I agree with Beat Of My Drum too. Best pop single of 2011 in my opinion.

And I think Cheryl Cole has had a flawless run of singles (even including The Flood, which everyone seems to hate).

Completely agree here! I can't imagine Bionic without it, which again is an album I can't understand the hate for. Even if it may have been a let-down for some people it didn't deserve the backlash it received, it feels like the sound of the summer (2010) for me, I played it so much!

I haven't stopped listening to Beat Of My Drum either. Also, Maybe by Emma Bunton, I don't know if this received widespread hate, but my friends want to kill me whenever I play it.
