I've had such mixed results doing this in the past. In 2008 I had Keesha, which turned out alright in terms of points, though also wonderful as she turned out to be one of my favourites ever. Last year I had Brendan, who won a HoH and a few vetoes, though winning Rachel sadly earned me no points.
In 2009... I had Chima.

Oops, didnt realise it was diary room entrance rather than order of entering the house. I'd probably have picked a lower number because I'm assuming the bigger characters will get to speak sooner. Nevermind though.

That may be a good thing though, the bigger characters in the first week can often end up blowing up early, and not lasting very long.
