I am confused.

Has this been a complete flop e.g that one week in the charts

OR

Is it still to be properly released?

It's gonna have it's physical CD release next week but I can't really see that boosting sales that much!

I think the album could definately go top 10 though when it's released!!!

I don't think its been officially released yet (on CD), but it is a major flop so far.

Well... when is she releasing it? if its in the summer then yeah she will get a top 10 album since the charts are alot quieter, but if its around Xmas shes going to need a massive single to sell it

I think the CD single release has been pushed forward by a week. Her label left far too long between the digital and physical releases, and they planned the majority of promo around the physical release, which partly explains the poor performance so far.

She's also struggled with lack of airplay - she's not in the top 100 airplay chart and she didn't make the Radio 1 playlist, which was a big blow.

But she's got some good promo coming up (T4 On The Beach, Paul O'Grady, Loose Women, Daybreak etc) so she'll probably go back into the Top 40. She'll also have comparitively high physical sales, which will help.

It's so awful. Marginally better than the abomination that is Swagger Jagger.

Such a misunderstood tune. It's fun and playful. It's not a masterpiece, but it's not rubbish either. The beat is amazing and the melody is really infectious. I just wish she could dance JUST A BIT to promote it.Not every artist can get a dance breakdown as special as Diplo's on the track

To answer the question, the single was not released to launch the album.IMO it was released to launch Nicola herself and make people pay attention. And it did just that. The people that loved it are now checking for her, the people that hated it are also checking for her and the people that found it mediocre can change their minds with the next one. Mission accomplished

I dont think it has been properly released yet, as others have said it has its physical release coming up soon and also the promotion really starts around that time. And the music channels are still calling it a future hit on the charts, even though it already charted.

I thought it was a good song, but I guess you would class it as a flop.

Agree - It's nothing special of a tune but catchy, playful, fun and quirky. It's got enough sass to make it sound fresh and young but childish. and yep, even though I'm not sure that's what the label was hoping the single to do, it certainly got her into people's consciousness for future releases...Can't really understand why she didn't get much airplay - I personally love the tune
