Yes, a few weeks ago. There was around 8 of us. I thought the selection of sandwiches wasn't the greatest, but the pastries and cream teas are delicious and the range of teas is very good. Overall, very good value for money.

Tea at Harrods (or the Savoy, come to that) is a treat that I suspect that I will probably have to lay on some time for Mrs T.

Now I'm sure Mrs T will be very lady-like and have only a few of the items on display but is there actually any limit as to how greedy you can be (I'm thinking of myself ). If you leave all sense of shame at the door is it possible to gorge yourself on sandwiches and cakes without the waiters dropping heavy hints that, perhaps, enough is enough?

There is so much choice for afternoon tea in London, Harrods would not be on my list at all!

I've had tea at The Dorchester, which i could not fault at all. Food, atmosphere and service were first class and we did not feel rushed at all, even though it was very busy there.

We went for tea at the Ritz and it was lovely from start to finish, we came out completely stuffed as they just kept filling our plates up with more and more food. Couldn't fault it at all.

I've also been to the savoy, claridges and the ritz and harrods was nicer than claridges and the ritz in my opinion. The other two try and hurry you out as they have set sittings, whereas at harrods you are free to spend as little or as long as you want, they just keep re-filling the food. The Savoy was very over priced for what it was, put it was a nice experience.
