She has made her mark in the music industry, she should just retire now because she is tarnishing her legacy!

Her uk sales have been very poor for this album.
Her charts performance has been rather bad too for uk standards of her past singles too.
Her promo has been little to none also; that will have a major impact too.

So I guess she's flopping technically.

well i love lady gaga, but i also love britney surely peoples views cant be tainted by the love for gaga? they are completely different types of artist imo.
but what leads you to thinking she isnt 'flopping', she should be doing far far better in the UK

Look...I don't want to insult anybody but it's kind of irritating that when an artist doesn't get to No.1 in the UK, you label him/her a flop. She's sold more than 1 million ww in 3 months with no worldwide promotion and her tour is slowly but surely bringing her reputation back. She's just released her 3rd single and the sales have increased a bit already.

She's just going through the motions these days, isn't she. Her performances don't get the effort they used to.

For ages on DS I've seen LadyG fans slay Brit-Brit time and time again....it's LOOOOOOL

It's known she isn't doing well in the UK which is pure sh!*e, Most Brits are to interested in "artists" such as Example and f**kin* LMFAO, no time for Brit-Brit

and just because she hasn't gone straight to number one in places it doesn't mean she has flopped, such a loosely used term nowadays..

Also, the word 'flop' is in the top 3 of the most ridiculously overused words, alongside with 'epic' and 'legend'. A flop is someone that can't even enter the charts, not someone that reaches the top 10 and stays in the chart for months.Just saying

Her singles have underperformed in certain territories because she has only promoted in the States (4 shows) and because her label handled the era wrong expecting she would sell by her name alone. They delayed the video for HIAM so much that the song AND the era lost the momentum and then TTWE was too generic to regain the steam. Still she's underperforming FOR HER STANDARDS, but flopping??? Not really

This is the correct word, in regards to the UK, she's hardly flopped, just not done as well as one might have expected.

In the UK yes, she's doing pathetically. An album that has sold pittance and is no longer even in the Top 40. A blink and you missed it lead single that spent next to no time at all in the charts, a poor charting second single and a 3rd looking likely to miss the Top 40 all together.

And as a fan that doesn't half annoy me.

Yes, but is it really pathetic?? She had 1 top 10 single that spent a respectable amount of weeks in the chart and a top 10 album that has surpassed 1 million in ww sales with hardly any promo. You can say it's disappointing, but pathetic??IMO, no.
(I shall remind you that during her prime, Britney was slaying left, right and centre but in the UK she never had a No.1 album)

I think she has definitely underperformed in the UK again with this album. But if she actually did some real promo she could get it back here.

For example, Lady GaGa. There's no reason why BB can't go on GN, Chatty Man or POG, other than her conservators don't like her talking.

She has made her mark in the music industry, she should just retire now because she is tarnishing her legacy!

Tarnishing her legacy with 3 hit singles and a hit album, her most critically acclaimed since before her breakdown and a tour that's being hailed as her best performances since 2004.

Whatever you say...

I'm going to see her in October...I think Femme Fatale is half good half filler but she's still a legend to me!

Erm...Where've the album and the 3 singles been a hit and critically-acclaimed?? In the US only s'ppose...Don't know about her legacy being tarnished - didn't even know she ha\s any to start with - but yes, she's flopping...Technically in the UK, she definitely is. Nothing to do with not having a number 1 with either an album or a single. It's just that, apart from Hold It Against Me, which was a top 10, the other singles have barely made an impact on the charts and her album has simply disappeared. Generally, while she is reconnecting with her fan base and doing really well in the States, on an international level she's just not making any much impact with her new offering and at her level, with all the hype she's got ahead of the album, it's a flop. It is not a carer-suicide one, but still a flop.

Seriously, the word flop is so overused that when someone REALLY flops we will have to invent a new word

She needs to get some good producers behind her and maybe alter her direction slightly.
