I usually make a beef stew in my slow cooker using fresh veg so I can throw everything in at the same time. However this time I am using up some frozen casserole veg instead so can I put it all in together from the start or do I need to add the veg later?

I didn't think you were supposed to put frozen stuff into the slow cooker? I'd defrost them in a pan of water and add them nearer the end, myself

It will take forever to heat your slow cooker with frozen products in it. Might be ready in 4 or 5 days.

Defrost them and add them at the end.

Thanks for the advice - it's a good thing I asked first! I'll defrost them and add them near the end.
