Do we really need another thread on this?
It doesn't suprise me, in fact it's underwhelming. You'd think it would have sold far more than that. |

Sorry, but this comes nothing close to Adele's most prestigious record:
Number of Sausage Rolls eaten in a minute. |

To say 2011 is Adele's year is an understatement. And her success in the US is if anything more impressive than even her UK success. Her album hasn't been out of the Top 3 there since it was released in February and Rolling in the Deep is on course to be the biggest selling single of the year (unless the new single SLY eclipses it)! As the late, great David Coleman might say: Quite extraordinary.

![]() No way can her next album follow this pattern. If it does however then christ, she'll be one of the biggest selling artists of all time by the age of 30. |

Thing is though - IF her next album is just as good - there is no reason why people won't buy it in truck loads again. She's done the most difficult bit - getting a good second album out there. Even if her 3rd album only says say 1 million or so copies - she's still had one helluva' career

Me neither - people just clearly like her music, just as many don't.

News to him.. he's alive
Oops . last time I saw him he didn't look very well though. Apologies if you are reading this, Mr Coleman. News of your demise has been greatly exaggerated! PS Adele is totally accepting of the probability that the new album won't sell anything like the numbers '21' has so it's not like she's getting her hopes up. Even if it 'only' sold half of the figure '21' ends up at it will still be a massive seller. But like an earlier poster said, with Adele you never know. And I'm sure the inevitable live album will be big.

Well considering the average woman in the UK is a 16 she's still no bigger than average.
Cant say how you can say adele is an average woman, because she is not. I am not one to make fun of womens weight but she does not represent the average women in terms of her size. She is one big lady. |

Women at Adeles age that are size 16 would not be called average. If she is average then I would call myself a stick insect and I am a size 12 which is the size that I class as average, go in any store, from supermarket to designer, size 12 is always the size that sell out fastest. The amount of times I have not been able to buy something I want because all the size 12's have gone. |

Jeez, people are immature. Okay, she's no stick insect. Why should anyone care? Not that I'm even into girls but I reckon I would choose a bigger girl over an anorexic piece of nothing like Cheryl Cole any day.

So you edited your post to removed some random website link saying women are a size 16.

The amount of times I have not been able to buy something I want because all the size 12's have gone. To be honest, when it comes to Adele, you reveal yourself as a particularly nasty piece of work. With a total lack of an embarrassment gene and a rather suspicious penchant for bigging yourself up. You're not Edwina Currie, are you?
