Dead Humax HDR?
Humax HDR seems to have stopped working overnight. It was fine last night and as usual put the box into standby.
This morning it wouldn't respond to the remote so turned the box off at the mains. Waited a couple of minutes and turned back on. The front screen lights up and I can hear the hard disk but no text appearson the front screen and the red/blue light on the front does not show. Message on the TV says "Unsupported signal. Check your device output" I've swapped boxes and HDMI leads so dish/cables OK. Any suggestions? |

Assuming your box is out of warranty, open it and disconnect the hard drive. If you box now boots a new hard drive is cheap and simple to fit.

I guess you also tried the power button on the front of the Humax-HDR?
Easy for the remote to slip into non PVR control mode. Otherwise it sounds like back to your retailer ![]() Automan. |

Yes, tried the power on the front of the Humax.
I've contacted the supplier. |

Tried a few things that the supplier suggested but no good, it still wouldn't boot.
Left it switched off for 24 hours and just before I put it back in the box to return it, I thought I'd give it 1 more try. It booted and has been working fine.
