I've worked with the likes of Jim and I bet he's a lot of fun, although you always wonder how he manages to get away with the bullshine.

But if he was, for example, selling insurance or mortgages, I suggest that his mindset would be: screw the punter, get the sale; sales = bonus.

That doesn't sit well with me.

Avoid.

of course he would be like that - absolutely no principles at all, totally up himself. I hope he gets fired humiliatingly.

That's bit mean!

I think he'd be great fun to work with.
I think he relentless and effective.
People tend to look up to him and see him as a leader.

I think people are too swayed by how handsome Tom is, or how perfect Helen looks etc, forget about how they look.

Tom just doesn't have the go in him, not enough strength, overruled and sidelined.

Helen just doesn't have the enterpreneurial spirit I think, great organiser etc, but doesn't have the sharp business sense.

Nastasha, feisty but doesn't listen and her ideas aren't always right.

Susan Lightweight I think. I wouldn't let her have my 250,000.
lol, not a chance.

They all turn to Jim.
They all look up to Jim, whether they admit it or not.
He's just that rare type that commands respect for day one.

Go Jim Go
I'm proud of you

that is pretty much my opinion of Jim, I think also he has a way of undermining and knocking the self confidence of other candidates which you could see as Jim being ruthless and single minded or as him being devious and underhand, at the moment I am not sure which

I think some people rather forget what the aim of this years Apprentice is. If it was for a Salesman-in Chief I'm sure Jim would win. But, it isn't, it's for someone to partner LS in a new venture, that means someone with a flare for developing new ideas and the like. I just don't think that's Jim, nor for that matter Helen or Natasha. None of those three have started a business (as Tom rightly pointed out last week). The only two who seem to fit the bill are Tom and Susan. On balance, and unless he does something really wrong in the next task, I think it will be Tom as he has the edge over Susan as well as the maturity.

I don't think it is neccessary to be "full of ones-self" and domineering to achieve success, any way LS has enough of that for two in the proposed partnership!

But that would make the whole series nothing but a pointless sham.

If he was only going to consider people who have started a business then he would have wasted most of the candidates time as well as the audience's.

I find Jim utterly creepy.

I think it's always been the case that's its not just task performance that decides the winner - there's a load of other criteria that we're not privy to. But this year that discrepancy may be a lot more obvious.

I don't think he's ONLY going to actually consider candidates who have run their own business, but you'd have to say that they would be a safter option - even if that goes against the grain of task performance.

I like Jim. As far as good TV is concerned he's been the best IMHO.

I also like Tom. He's extremely likeable.

Prefer both these to the women that are left.

We have all seen that if anyone feels that Jim is pushing a sale onto them too much, he will slow down and rather than use the product's benefits, he will use his own selling charm instead. I think it's a lot more situational than how you have put it, but If you're selling, then you're selling. You don't tell people that what you're selling them is what you think to be absolute rubbish do you?

Yeah I don't remember him as PM either, I don't think he likes the pressure and the forced accepted responsibility of being the PM. I think he prefers to maneuver around the task positioning himself in the best place where he can take the most credit and glory when things go right but dodge the blame should things go wrong.
To be honest I wouldn't want the forced responsibility of being PM either, especially when you have to take the responsibility for other people's actions.

He lost. His approach was largely based around consensus rather than dictatorship. He had a good team (Glenn, Zoe and Susan) but he made some big mistakes. He threw away Zoe's great front page for "Hip Replacement" and lost all the irony. He refused to give a discount to the first agency, even though their entire business model relied on getting discounts; that showed very poor judgement. Susan persuaded him to change his mind for the second two pitches, but it was too late. In the boardroom he described her as "Bambi" and a mouse, so she flayed him. Glenn got fired.

So, not very impressive.

Even though I have come to like Jim more than at the start of the process, I don't want to see him win. Shuggs will be wasting his time and money with Jim. Tom is the only really logical choice imo.

To be honest I have liked Tom from the start but I have also been very disappointed in him because he never gets his points across to the others on his team. In fact I can't believe he is still in the running.
Jim is straight up and driven but he also has a sense of humour. I reckon the likes of Karren and Lord Sugar are ever so slightly scared of him.
I would like Jim to win but I have a feeling that Susan will.

Quite the opposite for me. I liked Jim at first but he's too slimy and 'thinks' he's a good communicator. In fact he talks a lot of BS.

Jim strikes me as slightly deluded in his own abilities... he's a good salesman, but his attempts at motivating the team are painful to watch.

'We're going to make soup like we've never made soup before!'
'I'm going to defuse the situation!'

And his insistence on coming up with awful taglines is almost amusing. Especially the little pause before he enunciates them, very clearly, down the phone:

'Any...time...is...treat...time'
