Tom has got a devilish look about him, I recognise it in the mirror...personally, I think he stole one of her g-strings in the house, then wore it to the boardroom and slipped her a note under the table telling her he was sitting there in her red&black Ann Summers number to put her right off her game . Worked a treat - she was rather flustered. (It's what I would have done anyway)

Well, she didn't really.

It was about three seconds said in a light hearted manner.

Clearly mine (and everyone else's) definition of light hearted is different to yours.

Interesting that you can know everyone else's view and it just happens to match yours.

I agree with you

Helen has been sailing through on the winning team every week and I think she has started to believe her own hype. It's almost as if she is puzzled as to why her bubble has burst..... she also thinks it's not quite the ticket that Tom dared to criticize her in the boardroom. Maybe now she finally relises what it's all about and that she doesn't have the automatic right to get to the final and win.

Erm, some confusion here.

I was the one who said it was a light hearted comment.

Dave disputed that.

Maybe before anyone else posts they should:

a) Look at the incident to ensure that they correctly remember what happened.
b) State whether they think it was light hearted or not to avoid confusion.

It's funny - the first time I saw it I thought Helen was deadly serious. But on rewatching I think she was being deadpan - she's smiling only seconds before she says it and there's no anger behind it.

I think she was being tongue in cheek too.

Said in jest, meant in earnest.

I think it was meant as a tongue in cheek comment; I'm not sure it went down that way with Tom. (& IMO it was a rather awkward thing to say.)

!

Her comment was one for the crowd... Purely for the cameras and hopefully LAS (if he's watching), simple as that.

Granted, she's never been in the boardroom on the losing side before, but I don't believe she's ignorant of what goes on in the boardroom. Surely she's witnessed talk from the surviving-two every week.

This comment and her second-day coup attempt just showed her true colours.

I wanted her to win up until that episode! Horribly passive agressive to boot. Yuck!
