If the results were decided by public vote...

...who do you think would have the best chance of winning (out of all of the candidates).

I'll go for Susan or Tom. The YF audience certainly have a lot of Susan love, whereas they seem a little bit unsure of Helen after her attempted coup.

It'd be Tom, and as a bonus we could all also have lived through the hilarity of Lordalan trying to find a job for Lucinda. They could air it as a pre-show sitcom instead of My Life Of The Family Flynns.

Interesting thought.
My take on who would have won down the ages:

Series 1 - James Max
Series 2 - The Badger
Series 3 - Kristina Grimes
Series 4 - Lee McQueen
Series 5 - James McQuillan
Series 6 - Stella English
Kiddie apprentice - Arjun Rajyagor

Uuummm... not Natasha

If it was down to public vote I reckon it would be very close between Helen, Jim, Susie and Tom...
... but Tom would snatch it

For a few of the series the BBC actually put up a website poll on the week of the final asking the public to pick who they wanted to win. I can't remember all of them, but I know Michelle beat Ruth, and Kristina beat Simon.

I don't think liar McQueen would have won with the public - possibly Clurrr or Raef.

Tom would have it wrapped up - Susan wouldn't get a look in if the public was involved.

I agree....and praise the lord that it is not down to the public. I am fed up already seeing Dara on BBC2 praising Tom and showing us clips of how "adorable" Tom is.

I don't know; it seemed to please the audience on YF when panellists praised her, and a few weeks back when they used applause to gauge opinion of candidates it was clear she was generally popular. She's done well on DS polls, too.

Only if you have some reason to suppose that DS is wildly different to the rest of the public. Here she has nearly twice as many votes as Tom.

(I wonder if Tom's vote would improve on what we saw on TF5 last night. I thought he came across very well indeed on that.)

Not Sophocles, no?
