Whats best?

I honestly think Zero and cherry are the best, especially zero. Hardly anywhere serves zero though.

After hearing that diet coke is so bad for you (full of sweetners and your body looks for energy that isn't there so it can make you feel more sluggish) Whats the difference between diet & zero?

I'm a full fat original Coke man myself...can't stand diet or zero. I love cherry though, shame not many places in NI sell it. Why don't you do a poll?

They use a combination of swetners in Diet coke, but just use one of them in Zero. Have to say I prefer Zero myself, even more so than full fat.

A lot of the research caried out in the US suggests that the only reason they launched Zero was to target it at the male market, as Diet has always been targetted at women.

Now is only they did a Zero cherry - they I'd be v happy

I find it weird that people refer to it as full fat Coke when there is zero fat in it.

I LOVE cherry coke, but the only one I can drink is Caffeine Free as the caffeine makes me poorly. However Caffeine free coke tastes pretty crap so I have it about once or twice a year maximum. There are days when I'd kill for a pint of ice cold coke, plenty of icecubes, the outside of the glass dripping with condensation......

I was told by a Coke employee that Diet and Zero are the same. Diet is marketed for women and Zero for Men

But they don't taste the same. If you look at the ingredients, you'll see that they have most of, but not all of the same ingredients, and in different proportions.

Sainsbury's Diet Cola is the best.

They aren't. Diet Coke is meant to have its own distict flavour, whilst Coke Zero is supposed to closely resemble full sugared coke. Had this conversation with my sister - she's in the know.

My personal favourite was the Vanilla Diet Coke from 2003. That was great. Other than that, just plain old Diet Coke.

Was there a few weeks ago, and they still had it. My local shop used to sell diet cherry but that seems to have gone, bah.

Coke zero rules! Sadly, not all restaurants serve it here, most still offer diet, whereas when I went to Paris recently, I noticed they sold it everywhere. Full sugar coke tastes very similar to coke zero anyway, and I would rather not drink that much sugar so zero is prefect for me.

I've never tasted the difference between full fat, diet, zero, or any of the pepsis. Makes life easier than caring which variety it comes in.

Having said that I've never doen a taste test with them all together, that could be interesting. Only slightly I add.

Really?! Original Coke and Diet are worlds apart. Zero and original, maybe not so much. Although a Coke connoisseur can tell. Suppose it's like the difference in Coke from a can, glass bottle or plastic bottle. Out of interest, which does everyone prefer? It's glass bottle for me, although can comes a close second and is generally what I buy as the glass bottles are way overpriced.

Not a big Coke drinker now- only really as a mixer. I prefer vimto and Rubicon if I'm getting a fizzy soft drink. My favourites used to be vanilla and cherry- full fat versions.

Definitely a glass bottle. Preferably with the classic shape. But really a luxury item.
