If she is good at what she does, I see nothing wrong in her profiting from it. A workman is worthy of his/her hire.

My mistake for saying she said "salary". My impression from the interview was she hadn't earned anything from the business. So I listened again on iPlayer. Her exact words to Victoria Derbyshire were:

So it is as we suspected, not really a job or a "Global" business but a very expense hobby. Also she is only 26 so she has been doing this since she was 16?? as a business.
If you're not able to make your idea make money after this amount of time then it really is time to go home.
It looks like she had some early success and decided to invest her future in it (presumably with someone elses money).
Being successful at a couple of youth conferences doesn't usually lead to a career in itself. You need to have something else to offer as you get older. Skills, experience,a unique idea or qualifications.

On the show, Melody was saying her 'business' is very much about profit. According to the above posts she said on the radio she doesn't get paid for it.
I've got so many questions about Melody and what she does but if its purely voluntary then to me that is a hobby. I help out as a lifeguard at my local lido. I don't get paid but can charge my travel fees home. I wouldn't ever consider that a business even if it was the only thing I did.
And if she's been doing it for 10 years then how has she supported herself? Do her parents pay her a wage? And how was it to be turned into a business? Surely if there are no profits or even revenue to speak of after 10 years there isn't much hope to produce some now.
I can't work Melody out. I don't want to accuse her of anything but I just don't understand how this is a business in any shape or form or how she earns a living (and pays for nice suits etc). Who knows.
All I know is that I see people like her every day at my work who want funding for their start up and they are all style and no substance. The shame is they don't even realise that. When they leave the room we all just look at each other and put our heads in our hands.
And before someone says 'At least she's going out there and making an effort' I'd say that's the least I'd expect if someone (family etc) is financing her life. I don't know if that's the case as I don't know her but if I didn't have to pay rent, bills etc I'd love to do full time volunteer stuff but I have to pay my way in life.

Well she said she started the business at 13! I imagine she is bankrolled by wealthy parents/family. All smoke and mirrors as I have said before, no substance as she couldn't even give an understandable explanation of what she does to anyone who's asked.
