I suppose the question is, how does a penniless single parent from china, manage to emigrate to Australia, surive for 5 years, and then move to the UK - it can't be cheap to do ... just interesting

Female James Bond? I'll take my steak bake shaken, and lukewarm.

Hmmmm but, it was Jim's pitch that won the order! Far too much credit given to her there.

Is Karren re-writing history? Wasn't it the biscuit boffin and Jim who designed the biscuit?

They liked the product, unlike the rival product. They actually thought the pitch was quite ridiculous in its overblown claims.

Karren very biased towards Helen.
When Helen pitched PM Susans excellently selected product, the car seat, Karren credits Helen

When Jim pitched the biscuits he designed and made for his PM helen, Karren credits Helen

If Asda wanted it with that sort of product they should have got something from Helen's Sainsbury's pitch as well which they didn't

Like the way his mother made the dyslexia into a positive

Tom may be a good man to be in business with.
He has ideas, he is clever, he is committed and he is honest.
Working with a good business person he would be very good.

I'm convinced he would have more 'steel' if he was the designer of the product

Oh I see. I can see where you're coming from on this. I didn't find it unusual because it's a common story among Chinese and other Asian immigrants. Most borrowed money, worked menial jobs (sometimes up to three jobs per week), and saved pennies until they could afford to move to, what they may perceive, better places.
