I think he will be very rattled at the interview stage.
Margaret is far more discerning than KB
I expect Jim to behave and perform badly. He is naturally agressive and arrogant, he makes ridiculous claims thinking that's daring and showing balls. Its not. It's idiotic.

Jim's charm wont work on Margaret

He will lose his cool - Suzy is the one who will do well

Interviews must be right up her street, then.

Oh, that won't get old for me..

(that and.. "I have weighed up all of your strengths and all of your weaknesses and have decided that the best person to give this pitch.. is myself.")

I thought this was a cool look into their lives. Have they done this for past series before? Must've missed them all if so.

Not sure about series 1 or 2, but I definitely remember them from series 3 onwards.

Jedi Jim - I will not look into his eyes! No business set up experience and just a sh*t hot salesman.
Natasha - yeah but no but yeah but NO chance with that hair and that yeah.
Helen - headhunted by current company so big balls for such a petite lady. No experience of running business means she cannot stand a better chance than my top 2.
Susan - if she's treated fairly (and we all know she'll protest otherwise), she's stands a fair chance of winning.
Tom - has potential to be Lord Sugar's nodding puppy dog and expect to see him park his bike next to Sugar's gas guzzler.

More I think about it, more I believe I'm wrong about Tom's winning chances.

I really can't imagine LS be that willing to sit in a meeting to hear Tom's post-event analysis on what went wrong each every a plan fell apart. I also can't see Tom's ability to push himself through barriers. He seems the kind that waits for someone to open a door instead knocking on the door, or kicking it down, until it's opened.

I think LS is looking for someone who can develop and expand a business under pressure without much guidance or hand-holding from LS. The kind where his 250,000 would give him a decent return.

Tom has a definite disadvantage on these two day tasks because he's very much a 'think it all through' kind of person.

But that is a definite advantage in the real world where, in business, you usually do have time to analyse things properly.

I'm sure Sugar will be well aware of that.

I'm convinced he would have more 'steel' if he was the designer of the product”

I think he showed steel in the boardroom to save himself - so its there. On a one to one and not on a tv show I think he will stand his ground more. He will also have a good business plan and that's what this series is about - not being a salesman - going into busines with Lord Sugar and Tom will be the strongest on this point. Susan next but maybe a bit too green at this time but again depends on her business plan.....

Agree. My comment re 'steel' referring to something said on that show - That he needs to show steel.
I believe that Tom is less staunch about say, teapot lights, because they aren't his products that he is confident in. But if it's his idea and he's passionate about it- i think he would be quite robust.
You're right about business withLS I think. Its Tom or Susan.

I can hardly believe it but for the first time this series I'm starting to see positives in Tom

Tom came across as an outstanding candidate - enthusiastic, ideas-oriented, articulate.

If his record in the tasks had been remotely comparable to the others then he'd walk it from here. As it is not then I still can't see how they can make him the winner without admitting that performance in the tasks has been something of an irrelevance this year.

But Nick and Karen emphasised that the business plan will be an important part from now on, and I'd guess that Tom's business plan is more likely to be based on an original idea, and perhaps more likely to be product-based, than the others may come up with.
