When do we get to hear these great Business Plans?

Just wondering this year's Apprentice is all about going into Partnership with Alan Sugar, or rather him investing £250k into your new business. I admit I haven't been watching this programme religiously, but I haven't yet heard any of the final candidates talk about what their new business would be. Unless it's coming up soon.

Karen Brady touched on it at the end tonight, however I am slightly dubious about next weeks task.

I dont think we will hear about them till the final

I assume that the interviews may feature something about their business plans. It'll be disappointing though if we don't find out what they are until after the final.

Next week tests their ability to run a business.
Then we get the "thus we see" conclusion that bears no relationship to what went before or can be read in the first para of their CV. .

Natasha - good idea - goodbye

Helen - great performance , very impressive - you have not set up a business.

Jim - well done, pull the other one.

Susan you have what it takes - you are too young.

Tom you have been the worst candidate seen in years - but I like your invention - here's 250k.

Or some combination.

How about Sugar rejects all their business proposals (which are bound to be either laughably terrible or crushingly dull) and opts to set his £250,000 on fire.

LOL.

That sounds very much like what will happen.

If he does reject anyone for things that were perfectly evident from day one I'm going to be making a complaint to the BBC trust.

What, you mean like sacking Glenn for being an engineer?

No one would employ anyone save Jim, Helen or Tom in the real world the rest would be laughed out of the office

Exactly.

He's been making these rubbish decisions since day one.

But for candidates who leave earlier it's not quite so bad because you could say he's just giving people a chance to overcome his prejudices.

If you have a thing, as he does, against people who are/have lawyers/advertisers/engineers/degrees/corporates/whatever then it's reasonable to allow them a chance to see if they have something special.

If you don't rate engineers generally, there is always a chance that one will surprise you.

If, on the other hand, one of your criteria for investing in a business is that you have to have started one before, then there is absolutely no way that someone who hasn't started a business can win.

However, it sounds as if we will be hearing about the business plans and Sugar can, quite legitimately, pick whichever he wants so he won't need to make a fool of himself sacking someone for something that he has known from day one.
