iplayer has deleted all my programmes before their expiry datee
Switched my PC on today and it said one of my programmes had expired - fair enough it was past its due date.
Then I looked and all the programmes I'd downloaded had been deleted - some were expiring on sunday 12 july and others on 21 July - all gone am fed up and gutted as I had my 1st free weekend and was going to watch them all I hate the format of the new iplayer anyway as you can't easily see when dates are coming up but i had these dates etched on my brain. |

Yup, this has just happened to me... one programme - due to expire anyway and poof! the whole lot gone! Grrr. Like you I had this weekend lined up to catch them all....
Edit: I checked the file system - the downloaded stuff is still there, so I quit the iPlayer desktop, re-started it and hey presto, everything is back... This always seems to happen after an Adobe Air update - I got one forced on me yesterday. Coinidence? I think not.... |

I've had 2 programs deleted before their expiry date and there doesn't appear to be anyway to complain to BBC. Both programs were downloaded to BBC iPlayer Desktop on my laptop.
Program 1: Expiry date 31/07/2011 deleted between 20th and 24th July. Program 2: Expiry date 06/08/2011 deleted yesterday daytime. If anyone knows how to complain to BBC about this, please give me links. |
