I am going to purchase a Blu Ray player but I do not know what Panasonic player to choose from either from Amazon or Ebay

Can anyone help. My budget was under £100. I was thinking about this

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-DM...3&sr=8-3-spell

or

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-DM...0155934&sr=1-1

Do any of these have You Tube or USB

Can't see any reason to pay £50 more for the first one.
The £64.99 one seems to do all you need.

On ebay you'll find listings for special remote gadgets that you can use to update the player so you can play your US R1 dvd's on it without having to open the player at all

Only advice I would give is check it has all the connections you want. Recently got a panny blu ray player without checking this and discovered too late it had no digital audio out (separate from the single hdmi socket.)

I'd go for Amazon over E-bay. But since Richer Sounds have this for the same price as Amazon, I'd pick it up rather than wait for delivery.

If you ever use R1 DVDs you'll probably find that Richer Sounds can fix the machine to be multi-regional which would save all the messing about finding "other methods"!

RS charge a tenner extra for multi region.
Ebay service remotes cost the same .

If the user has R1 dvd's it makes sense to buy it modified from the start

Funny as I was considering this model, I really need it for the DLNA though but sure I read somewhere that someone else bought this and said it would not work on Windows 7??

If I was you, I'd check whether it needs to be region hacked before doing anything. I bought a (new, boxed) Panny BD player and, at the same time, bought a region-hack from eBay for it. The BD player arrived first and played region 1 DVDs without any changes made.
