Recording and getting sound from other channel whilst doing so
Have *substituted my small TV (with one scart socket) for my bigger TV (with two scart sockets). Copying video to my Samsung DVD/HDD from my multi region VCR (Brazilian tape being played). Works OK with my big TV but when I ise my small TV I am getting both the sound from what I the video I am copying (football surprisingly) and an English channel. Any ideas please?
*Reason: space. Big TV is on the floor and getting in my way! |

Your SCART leads are poorly screened, use better ones - they don't need to be expensive, just decently screened.
It's the audio track from the TV tuner that's leaking across. |

getting sound advice?
Possibly screening, but seems unlikely. Is the unwanted sound at similar volume level? How's it all connected? Remember, scart leads have bi-directional audio ...... |

Thanks people. Will change the scart now and see. Will be back. Re how connected - there is only one way to do it since I have only one scart socket on the TV . Will be back..........

OK, Gents. Tried another SCART and did not get the other channel sound this time but DID get a noise that accompanies a channel that is not turned in. The SCART socket might be the problem. Tried and succeeded with RCA leads (red/white/yellow). Thanks for your help. I can't promise it won't be the last question I ask!
