Anyone Reccomend A Nice Restaurant In London - Parents Wedding Anniversary!
It's my parents 30th Wedding Anniversary and me and my sister want to take them out for a nice meal. It needs to be somewhere in London (we live in North London, but anywhere is fine). We found a hotel in Central London that does a Sunday lunch for £80 per person. It's a buffet and the champagne is limitless. I don't why though, but something put me off it. Another restaurant overlooking the Southbank looked nice, but I had a look at the menu and it was very fish orientated, which is fine for my Dad, but my Mum doesn't like fish. We're looking for somewhere nice to take them for maybe Sunday lunch, or else dinner in the evening (weekend or weekday). We're looking at spending about £80 per person. Can anyone recommend anywhere nice that would be suitable?

As you live in North London I think you should ask your friends or your parents friends to suggest places they think your parents would like. Also as you live in London you could just google the area you would like to travel to - South Bank, Islington, Mayfair, etc
It may be that the its not the food that will make it special but the venue. Good Luck. |

The Almeida in Islington is about as posh as I go.
Lunch time a la carte http://www.almeida-restaurant.co.uk/...arte_Lunch.pdf If you live near Islington there is Morgan M which gets good reviews. |

£80 for a buffet? I think that's what put you off it.

I'd second that. Not very impressed with the Oxo tower or Plateau. Great locations but the food was so-so. (when I went anyway).I'd add The Orrery and, for location, Pont De La Tour is great if you like fish. |

I can reccomend the kebab house near Leyton Orient FC, that's the best meal I have had in London (honest!)
