I doubt it's called 'When We Collide'.

I think they are taking the piss personally. That's the exact same title as Matt Cardle's winner's single.

Although that Sandy Vee twitter reply to Leona did get me wondering whether he produced the lead single.

If the first is a 'club' song it is quite a risk. I would hope it means there will be two singles before the album with a safer mid to slow tempo track released before the album.

Anyway they might be making it all up, how would they know the track they heard is the lead single?

Oh God No, please god don't let it be true.

I agree, there definitely need to be two songs before the album. It's become the norm these days, I just have a bad feeling that it won't happen for Leona, it's not exactly how Syco do things

If it's coming soon though then they have time, I imagine they'd use the X Factor for a ballad as it has the most impact live.

I quite like the idea of a Leona club banger xD I've always wanted to dance to Leona in a club!!

I'm reading too much into this..”

Prophet blog was reviewing the new No doubt songs before that exchange, so you are reading too much.

If you type in 'When We Collide Leona Lewis' it comes up with a download link but the preview is just blank :/

I think this is probably a wind up lol

That person has done that with all of the leaked song titles: http://www.aimini.net/file/?pid=UY93cNfX9yec59c3jFji

Weird.

I was somewhat concerned that he might have been talking about SyCo when he posted this on his Twitter a few days ago,

Quote:
“I am listening to some songs that are making me very concerned about the mental state of a certain record label”

http://twitter.com/#!/popjustice

However it's probably nothing, it still seems very early for the label to be previewing songs etc. and the people on Twitter may well be talking nonsense.

They could always be talking about Cher.

Tbh I don't value PJ's opinion. They orgasm over every JLS track so that says it all.

If Leona's material with him sounds anywhere near as good as those two songs, I'll be a happy bunny.

But 'Me, You & The Music' sounds exactly the opposite of IIWAB and BGDC. It's probably some up-tempo dance song about all that matters is "me, you and the music". ”

I am aware of this yes, thats why i said "often".

Obviously he's produced some great songs and big hits but in general i'm not that fond, and both those were a few years ago now...

So excited for this new era, it's been a loooooooooong time coming!

Love the trepidation and excitement of finding out new single name, new album name, first hear of new song, first look at new video, can't wait!

Let's hope its a great and successful new album, but more importantly tha we get some amazing new music from Leona

Nicola just tweeter that she is meeting up with Frank Borin.
He is a music video director for the likes of Good Charlotte and he also has worked with Eminem.

Part 25! Let's hope this is the thread when we hear the first single, even though it feels like we've been saying this since Part 20.

Caroline Watson is also a stylist - wonder if this is a video for Leona or JLS?

He directed JLS In This Club and Alex's Broken Heels - he's actually a pretty great director, the lighting in his videos and the shots are usually pretty visually stunning - so I look forward to him working with Leona if he is!

Are JLS and Leona the only artists Nicola manages?

JLS' video for 'She Makes Me Wanna' has only just been released so I doubt they'd be filming a new video until September.

Do directors manage everything in the video, such as the concept, the location and the content? I really don't want a video like 'Broken Heels' (as much as I love Alex) or a video as boring and generic as 'The Club Is Alive'.

But at least Leona has a lot of say in her career so I look forward to seeing what she brings to the table. It's great knowing that things are moving very quickly. Maybe Leona will finish filming a music video by the end of July.

It would be amazing, and surprisingly efficient, if they were to have wrapped up the recording of a video by this time next week. Perhaps an August release isn't too improbable?

I wonder what the usual gap is between album photo shoots and the release of new music..

I'm not so sure she is saying she's meeting up with him for anything inparticular, she said he's "back" this week, whatever that means. She tweeted about seeing him a few months back as well, which got people thinking he was directing a leona vid back then, but obviously that wasn't the case. I think tbh they are just friends or something. I didn't get from it that she was having any kind of professional meeting with him.

Leona's often mentioned that she came up with concept for some of the videos. I think its probably, throw ideas on the table and see what everyone can agree on.

Hey peeps

How is everyone on here? Everyone excited with the new era pending?

I hope we're all in for a treat - I think we all deserve it (seeing as we've all been waiting so long!)

I dont want to sound too expectant or anything but i have a sneaky feeling this era is going to be rather special

I hope they do something different and fresh whilst still playing to Leona's strengths. I also hope they dont go too faddy and go down the electronic/dub step too much...

They cant sacrifice or sell Leona out for commercial success...The fundamental here should be quality. Commercial success is a bonus

Leona is known for her voice...lets hope this new era showcases that even more whilst proving she still has what it takes to be relevant

Much luv x
