We are sorry you are leaving BT.......
I thought readers might like to hear how in tune BT are with their customers.
At the end of 2009 my father in law died; BT would not change the name of the account to his wife without closing the account and starting again; a year later the house was sold and we still got bills. Eventually we managed to get the whole shebang sorted with a small credit back to us. This was confirmed in a letter sent to a person dead for nearly a year saying " Sorry you are leaving us we hope you will come back soon...!!!" I wonder what they charge for reincarnation? My wife was quite upset but I had to bite my lip and leave the room!

Srry abou your Father In Law OP and sorry your wife got upset, but TBH I have never really got the upset over a letter being addressed to a dead person, stuff happens. Things still arrive for my mother 3 years after her death at my father's place and nobody bats an eyelid nor ever did ....
Worked for Bt Customer Service for many yearrs myself until recently and we still changed name on advice of bereavement so god knows what numpty told his wife she would have to close the account and start again. India perchance? |

India perchance? actually I have 8 lines with bt as a business customer and there customer services are a complete joke, I had lines added to the address (as the couldnt change the account name) so we knew which departments each bill was for this last for 2 quarters bill then dissappeared again I was told when we had 6 lines our premises could have lines installed as we were too far away from the cabinet (which happens to be just outside our building) and we get 24 meg from our adsl so our line length isnt very long. BT are useless and even though I have got a 12 month contract on a line they still ask me to sign up with them. It dont surprise me that they aint changed these details |

A foul and execrable company. Over 10 years since I ditched them for my cable provider and I've never regretted it for a moment.
I will never do business with them again or pay a penny to these cu at BT. |
