Samsung Galaxy s2 Weather Question

On the said phone im using the live wallpaper, the windy weather app from Accu weather and it lets you set how often you want it to update, so I set it for every half hour, so it shows you when its raining etc , but also on the home screen by accu weather you can also have the weather for your current location, which i choose to ,thing is the front page app shows different weather sometimes to the live wallpaper app?

Is the live wallpaper a different gps location to the weather app on the homescreen ? As one today was sunny while the other one had rain on it ?
