Little Boots is one of my favourites, I loved her album and I think it had a few potential singles. Shame she only had the one hit with Remedy.
Remedy wasn't her only hit. New In Town was a hit as well.

It's more commercial than her previous releases; but it's a refreshing to her other albums as it has a good few happy songs.

I think she wrote with Xtina as an experimentation and hoping she'd get by as a writer for others but she was going through a rough time unaware she had Grave's disease and said odd things like she was retiring from solo releases after We Are Born and other stuff.

She's backtracked on it now since she's been treated for her illness and not feeling weird and crazy.

She'll probably do another album when she feels like it and it'll probably be a nice miserable but interesting album
Aww I'm glad she's getting better.

I just heard one of her songs on the OC, I don't know what the song is or when it was released, but I knew it was her. She has a very distinctive voice

New Fast Automatic Daffodils.

Never received a fraction of the recognition they deserved.

I think Nigel and Neill would be pretty happy with the almost thirty year career they've managed out of it. They still have a pretty hardcore following after all this time.

Agreed though, considering they have one of the best lyricists this country has ever produced they could've been bigger.

For a genre of music I don't like, the band Devics, their song "Key" is up there with my favourite songs ever.

Wayne Wonder. Ok, he had 2 hits, but they are also among my fave songs ever.

RnB Hip Hop techno group, Hyper Crush.

Kat DeLuna

Jazmine Sullivan

Jennifer Paige. One hit wonder with "Crush"

Major Lazer. Pon De Floor original, which Beyonce sampled.

Little Boots

I think if there's a campaign to thwart the Cowell Christmas No.1 this year, they ought to push It's Cliched To Be Cynical At Christmas by HMHB. It's a cracking song and the title is perfect for the object of the exercise.

Great taste there! Love Pretty Reckless, V V and Clare. Marina is one of my favourites.

I'd say:

Florrie
Rachel Furner (not yet released a album)
Saint Saviour
CocknBullKid
Janelle Monae

Some good choices there. Love Ladyhawke, Lights and Marina and the Diamonds especially, though Clare Maguire is ok too.

Having listened to Sia's "We Are Born" on Grooveshark, I've added it to my "albums to buy" list (yes, I genuinely have a list on my computer ) along-side "Youth Novels" by Lykke Li and "Astro Coast" by Surfer Blood.

Nope. Didn't know a wish list existed!

I rarely use Amazon though, I tend to use HMV's website.

ETA - I've just created a wish list on Amazon. It's full already

She & Him
The Like
The Pretty Reckless
They're shooting the video for their next single. I'm assuming the song is from Light Me Up as Taylor tweeted asking the fans what they thought the song was.

The single choice hasn't been confirmed yet though.

Saint Saviour is like a more indie version of Florence and The Machine, her song Birdsong is really good as well as Woman Scorned, she has an EP on iTunes.

Rachel Furner supported Pixie Lott and has a iTunes Festival EP on iTunes, shes a great song writer but still hasn't officially released anything yet. Oh and she's written with one of the Jonas Brothers

Lene Marlin - of Sitting Down Here fame. She's still out there making music. Check out these two songs: "You Weren't There" and her recent song "Here We Are". Both are brilliant pieces of work.

Empire of the Sun - They should have gotten more mainstream success for their one and only album. "We are the People" remains one of my favourite songs ever. I'll never get tired of it.

Also I agree with all the others who said Siobhan Donnaghy. She can stand proud over her work if sadly she never achieved the commercial success she deserved.

I know I'm quoting my own post but I thought I'd let you know, little-monster.

I got it wrong, I've just checked ticketmaster and Evanescence & TPR are touring the UK.

Here is a Ticketmaster link if you are interested.

They've shot two videos - one for You and one for My Medicine. I can't wait to see My Medicine, it's my favourite song from LMU.

I found Paper Aeroplanes on Grooveshark last night. I want to buy a physical copy of their album (The Day We Ran Into The Sea) but it's virtually impossible to find, sadly. Apart from on Amazon for nearly £15 which I don't have spare at the moment.

I thought the album would be on HMV's website.

Basically all of my ipod - Sara Bareilles, Natalie Imbruglia, Lissie, Colbie Caillat, Lucie Silvas
I quite like the fact that they can be my private favourites though!
