I know, I can't wait to get the Deluxe

So many people on EvTHreads are on their high horses though saying that were wrong to listen to the leaks! That really pisses me off

Omg. I'm only on track 4 but bloody hell this album is far superior to Fallen and The Open Door! Can't wait to listen to the rest! What are your favourites?

Hm, I'm in two minds about the album. On the one hand, I think it takes the best aspects about Fallen and TOD and combines them in one album (Fallen's great lyrics, TOD's experimental production etc.) but I just think there is so much filler on the album. Some of the tracks are absolutely amazing (Lost in Paradise, Swimming Home, Oceans, Never Go Back etc.) but there are some songs, particularly at the start of the album, which are just so..blah (Other Side, Erase This, Sick, Made of Stone etc.) I don't know, it will probably grow on me. With Evanescence, the songs which start out as my least favourites always inevitably end up being the ones I love the most and then I forget about the ones I initially loved

I appreciate that they are stepping out of the box and going for a heavier sound but atm I think it has some of their best and worst material on.

I love The whole album but other than What You Want, the following songs really sent gave me the goosebumps.

Made of Stone
The Change
The Other Side
Sick
Lost in paradise
Oceans

I cannot fault this album, Amy's voice has gotten even better, something that I didn't think was possible. I am so looking forward to buying the Deluxe version next month & even more looking forward to seeing them live in November.

No worries!

It really is an awesome video! It will premier on Kerrang! tomorrow at 10AM, and be repeated about 8 times throughout the day for the rest of the week as it's "K! Video of the Week" which is excellent

Video was amazing when I saw it yesterday, looking forward to seeing it in HD today!

Managed to listen to the album properly today. One thing I must remember not to do again is listen to Lost In Paradise whilst on the bus. So emotional!

Album is beyond amazing. I love it. Cannot wait to buy the deluxe version on the 10th!

Just listened to the new album, and for me the stand-out tracks were:

Lost in Paradise
Swimming Home
Sick
Never Go Back
The Other Side

The rest of the album was great, but those tracks were definite highlights

Having listened to the album multiple times now, I have to say I absolutely love it. Each song is amazing in its own right. I seriously cannot wait to buy the deluxe version on 10th October!

Favourite songs so far are:

Oceans
Lost in Paradise
The Change
Sick
My Heart Is Broken
The Other Side

I've hardly listened to WYW since, even though I still love that song too!

Video for WYW is amazing, even better in HD!

Saw the video yesterday Amy's amazing as usual. When they all get in the water at the end it's great [hoped it would have more of a plot though] but maybe that will show in other videos.

I'm hoping the ending will lead into another video, hopefully Oceans!

The album is available to pre-order from the iTunes homepage now so it's not just hidden away anymore lol! Think it's like 7 or 8 on the pre-orders 'module'

Woop, it's 6 on my homepage. I wish it was featured on the Highlights section of the Pre-Orders page though

Number Six on mine too

Also seen online that What You Want is being officially released in the UK October 2nd? It's on DS's Single Reviews page, and also another website has said the same thing? Wonder if that's why it's not been promoted much so far?

Yeah mine's moved across to 6 now and yeah, I saw that it wasn't 'officially' released. I reckon they might come over for a promo slot somewhere, not sure on what show though... maybe Jonathan Ross?

I wish we still had CD:UK or TOTP, there's not many shows available for bands to perform on now (apart from the X-Factor, but when do they ever really have rock bands on)

Chart Show TV tweeted this tweet back on 30th August that Evanescence were going in for interviews, so perhaps they've already got the promo ready prepared?

I wish we had CD:UK too, that show was great to watch. It's a shame shows like X Factor don't have more rock bands on, the genre needs a whole lot more promotion in general!

I can't think why it's got an official October 2nd release date, to me it doesn't make much sense :s

At least there is some UK promo, but October 2nd isn't that far away really so the promo needs to kick in shortly!

Probably because they've done the on-air-on-sale thing, but the 'official' release date is a week before the album (like normal). So I guess it may peak around then? Or I'm hoping anyway, there's not been much about it anywhere.
