The booklet looks stunning

There's a new version of MHIB which will be played for mainstream radio in the states which is less heavy. I actually like it more than the album version. I think it could be the hit they need

Her live vocals have improved so much, I saw them on Fallen and TOD and the difference between her voice in those few years was insane. And given by the new vids, she's gotten even better

Anyway, I'm not sure how I feel about MHIB as the new single. Its one of my least favourite songs on the album but a lot of people seem to love it so it could just be me

I love their 2nd single.I was a bit underwhelmed by the lead single, but this one is a return to form imo.It reminds me of 'Fallen' but more mature and coherent.

Going to see them at the Palladium in Hollywood on Tuesday. Totally stoked to see and hear her! It's been a long time.

The Pretty Reckless is opening. Not that familiar with Taylor Monson's band, but hoping they sound decent live.

But really, it's all good! They would have to completely suck to bring the night down.

I quite like The Pretty Reckless There album isn't bad, its quite repetitive but then you could say the same about Fallen (its nowhere near as good as Fallen though). Taylor's quite good live though.

Thanks for that! I'll try to listen over the next couple of days so I'm a little more familiar.

Does anyone know the price of the deluxe album instore at HMV? Is it the same as their price online?

My local stores won't answer the phone.

Thank you

It's £16.99 in store, it's cheaper pretty much everywhere else

Thank you. I'll check out Tesco or Asda. I'll order from play.com depending on their prices and availability.

I was shocked at HMV's £16.99 price.... I was expecting the standard to be £8.99 and Deluxe £14.99

The Open Door was £7.95 when it was first released!

I will be very annoyed if STEPS manage to outsell Ev this week with their greatest hits! If it haooens, I think Ev will chart at #3 cause Maroon 5 will no doubt get the #1 album next week!

Saw them last night in Hollywood! Freaking awesome! Amy sounded great, the boys sounded great. Good times.
The only slight bummer was that on Bring Me To Life they didn't have a male singer. Instead I had to bribe the drunk guy standing next to me (with the surprisingly good voice) to belt it out.

The new songs were received well and everyone was throwing down a ruckus. They were on stage maybe an hour and fifteen. Short but memorable.

Btw- The Pretty Reckless were really good. Taylor Momsen sounded great and I liked the music. I mean come on, they covered Audioslave's Like A Stone. What's not to like?

The first band out (there were two openers) was mostly loud and distorted but when they slowed it down into a dirty blues kind of sound, they were good.

I wish I could hate The Pretty Reckless, as it's clear they're capitalising on Taylor Momsem's success on Gossip Girl.

But I can't bring myself to, because despite all that, they're actually really tight as a band. I love their debut album, like a vastly superior version of anything ever made by Courtney Love. Sounds awesome that they covered Like A Stone as well, that's a great song.

Wow, I'm loving the comparison to Courtney Love! There are similarities there for sure (crazy level is set to low, but Taylor is still young and has plenty of time to ramp that up!).

I really like some of Hole's music, tbh! Hot mess and all! When she wasn't throwing punches or completely wasted, she was great to see live!

Apparently they're set to do between 110-120,000 in the US this week!

Mental to think The Open Door sold 447,000 in it's opening week though!

There has been a lot of down time between then and now. It's time for them to remind the masses.

Here's a review from last night.

Got the album, finally got the chance to listen to it all the way through yesterday during a killer long bus journey. What can really be said? What an album, just brilliant. It's hard to really rank the albums, Fallen will always be my number one and one of the best albums I've ever listened to, but this is right up there.

Not a single bad song on the entire album, which is a joy. It feels like forever since I had an album where I could listen right the way through without thinking there was at least one song I'd want to skip. 'What You Want' is the perfect opener, I actually thought they did a great job in the ordering and placement of the tracks and how they eventually fit into the next one and how they take you on a roller coaster

A must to have the deluxe edition too, the extra tracks are awesome. 'The Secret Door' is technically outstanding, wow. I think 'Sick' and 'New Way To Bleed' will be the underrated tracks on this album, brilliant but sometimes over looked. The piano work on 'Erase This'...just wow!

Favorite track so far is 'Made Of Stone'. This entire album will be playing most days, everywhere I go, what a sensational album, easily the best I've heard all year.

Agree with everything you said, but especially this. There has always been an album (even previous Ev albums) where there's been a song I've skipped, or not really loved. However, on 'Evanescence' there is not one song that I will skip, or not listen to. Absolutely stunning. The deluxe bonus tracks are out of this world. You couldn't ask for a better album really!

Disappear is AMAZING! Such a good song! I wonder if they'll perform any of the deluxe tracks when on tour?

I saw a video of her performing Lost In Paradise, absolutely stunning!

Setlist from Hollywood show was this:

What You Want
Going Under
The Other Side
Weight of the World
The Change
Made of Stone
Lost in Paradise
My Heart Is Broken
Lithium
Sick
Oceans
Call Me When You're Sober
Imaginary
Bring Me to Life
Encore:
Never Go Back
Your Star
My Immortal

For that many songs, the concert flew by. Not a lot of down time between songs. Amazing show just the same.

I really do not liking them ending the show on My Immortal. I think they should switch it with Never Go Back. I would go home feeling a lot more satisfied if they ended on that song

I agree. Why end the show on a song that was from your first album? They should definitely end on a song from their latest release. Disappear, for example
