Lucie Silvas
WOW! She's very good and BRITISH!
Anybody heard her debut "What You're Made Of" yet? It is superb. If you see her video you'll notice she plays piano. I'm thinking she could be the UK's answer to Delta Goodrem! Taking nothing away from Delta, though as she's my favourite singer but Lucie Silvas has great potential I reckon. Plus she's absolutely beautiful! http://www.luciesilvas.net/ |

I heard Terry Wogan play her single about two months ago and interestingly I thought it was Delta Goodrem - style and sound was very similar. You are correct that she is an incredible talent and is gorgeous.
She has written for other singers and done back-up in the past (she co wrote the "b" side of Rachel Stevens latest release) so it's about time she emerged from the shadows. I believe she opened for Will Young during the summer. Good luck to her. Fabulous voice. S. |

I thought she sounded and looked like Delta Goodrem too. lol. Anyway I made a new forum about her because there doesn't seem to be one anywhere else...
lol. Visit it at http://luciesilvas.*********34.com/index.cgi Get talking or it will be a very empty forum, and that'd be sad!

I bought the album. First impression sounds good. Has an interesting cover version of Metalica - Nothing Else Matters.

I'm an even bigger fan of Delta Goodrem, but LS didn't actually copy any Delta songs, she just has a similar style and very similar hair. But I think it's a positive to have more singers like Delta.

I saw her at Eastleigh Festival when she was the support act for Will Young. She is very good. All in all a fantastic evening!

Lucie DIDN'T copy Delta Goodrem - though they have a similar style. Lucie Silvas has been in the music industry for around 8 years...in 2000 she nearly released what has now become "Breathe In" (5 track promos of the album exist from 2000) - "Forget Me Not", which features on the promo, is featured on Breathe In. As far as I know, her previous record company backed out from releasing the album in 2000 and it's only now that she's signed to Mercury she is getting the promotion she deserves... so please be a bit more careful before saying you "h8" her.
(For the record - I'm a Delta Goodrem fan too) |

After hearing 'What You're Made Of' I knew I had to have her album, so I pre ordered it and have had it a couple of days now. It's a good job its so good as it is, as I hadn't heard any of her other songs and it would have been a waste of money if it wasn't very good!
![]() I'm a huge fan of Delta too, and I agree they have a very similar style. I thought she was Canadian though? |
