Dont know what happened there but couldnt post. I liked Abbies and Dolly's take on things and yes I agree with you Shem, I think he may have some regrets, after all they were good friends to start with and loosing friendship is always sad. However, if they were in touch, which is a possibility, we wouldnt know and nor should we, also if they ever decide in the future to bury the hatchet after all the pain and bitterness has died down and get in touch again they wouldnt publicise it and nor should they.
I m not convinced they were unsuited or imcompatiable they just argued a lot and Josie has a fierce temper. They have both probably learnt from their mistakes if the truth be told. I think too Josie wanted comittment and a ring on her finger, she seems to be quite traditional like that, and John didnt believe in marriage as he said in the house, so if you think about it realistically, its possible that a lot of conflict arose over that issue, and neither as she said would back down over anything.
