I don't know what I am doing to my teeth in the long run but I use 6% Hydrogen Peroxide diluted half with water and rinse my mouth and teeth with it twice a week and my teeth are very very white. It did leave my teeth standing on edge the first few times though.

But a local old woman I know in a pharmacy asked for some Hydrogen Peroxide. As I knew her I asked why she was getting just that, she told me she whitens her teeth with it, she is about 60 odd and has the most amazing teeth for her age so I took her advice. It works.

I am having the Zoom treatment with my dentist tomorrow, it's on special offer, half price, £400 down to £200. She said it will take one hour. I will be taking 600mg Ibuprofen beforehand.

I know it may be painful but I have wanted this done for so long, I gave up smoking a year ago, but years of smoking have taken away the whiteness, I cannot wait to get it done, will really boost my self confidence.

I'm a dental nurse. Don't do the in house whitening! Do the take home kit! But yeah the crest whitening strips work well and are really cheap on e bay compared to any whitening offered by dentists.

I thought I was having Zoom at my dentists but it wasn't, it was laser treatment. Took about an hour, only minimal discomfort. I would have liked it whiter but she did say beforehand it would probably only go a couple of shades lighter. Does this mean if I have it done again at some point, it will go whiter still, or is this as white as I will go? Flippin smoking!

Ya that's as White as they will go unless you stop smoking! If you get them to make the trays you take home it will maintain the colour now and might even go whiter. I'd never reccomend laser whitening they never go as White as you think and I hate seeing disappointed patients and I'm supposed to say "oh wow what an improvement!!!"

When I had mine done my dentist advised if I got any sensitivity when I topped up with the trays to put sensitive teeth toothpaste in the trays and wear them for 20 minutes. Worked a treat.

anyone got this done, did it work better than you thought or not? im wanting to get it done in liverpool, and the one place i thought was good that did it for £119 now has gone to £285, so im going to look elsewere, just had an email from somewhere in manchester that does it a lot cheaper, just wondering what everyone thinks?
I've had this done twice now, and used various whitening strips.

And to be honest, they didn't make that much different. I think these days, its just better to get over the counter stuff from Boots and stick to the basic healthy living routines.

Yes had mine done and I love it!

My Dentist was offering theeth whiteneing for £275.00 and its basically a plastic gum shield moulded to the shape of your teeth. You get a syringe of Gel (has different levels for whiteness) and all you do is empty the syringe into the gum shield, pop the gum shield in your mouth, go to sleep, up next day, brush your teeth and hey preston gorgeous teeth.

I now only use half a syringe of Gel once a month and each syringe is £28, its worth it

Best thing I ever did
Same thing but diferent results. My gum hurts, can't drink wine and don't see my theeth any whiter. I'm not sure shall I give up or give it a one more go

I leave mine in over night and for the sensitivity use sensitive toothpaste and mouthwash only lasts a couple of days

I guess its down to pain tollerance levels too, my mate had it done and she was in a lot of pain, mine just twinges for a few days, annoying and sometimes painful but I just got on with it

I don't mean to spoil the party here, but are people using these Crest Strips aware that all they're basically doing is wearing away layers of enamel? Not only does that make your teeth weaker, it actually makes them considerably more prone to staining. Perhaps not what you want to hear, but I would suggest not using them. Your teeth will never look like Cheryl Cole's because she's spent literally thousands on hers. It's far safer to buy a normal whitening toothpaste and occasionally (say once a week) use one with a bit of baking soda in it.

Why not buy an Ebay kit for a fraction of the price...not those ones with 0.2 pc peroxide but with 10 pc peroxide, like the professionals use.
I've also heard that lemon juice is great for teath whitening.

Because both are very harmful to your teeth's enamel.
