You get the idea straight away who has gone in next episode
Just from last weeks end shot you knew who was going tonight

Maybe it's just me, but I don't put any more effort into it than just watching it. I don't try and figure out where he's pointing.

Finally someone like me. Completely agree, the last four weeks I have been able to guess who is going straight after the loosing team have walked back into the boardroom based on where he is pointing.

With that in mind i turned over to Your Fired before the preview for the next episode had been shown as I don't want the finale to be spoiled. They really need to get rid of him pointing in the preview or flip the clip so it looks like he is pointing one way but isn't.

Judging how his finger pointed Jim is not winning. He's sitting on the rightmost and the finger looks like pointed that way

Thank god ! phew im not alone Well done to you , its annoying though isnt it?
Please everyone dont now check this out unless you want a very good idea who wins this, im not a spoiler im just annoyed with something and wanted to air it.

They need to change this flaw, or it ruins the suspense the following episode

Crap. I deliberatly turned over before the preview after the main programme to NOT see where he was pointing and thus have the final spolied but then I forgot that they showed a preview on Your Fired which I saw - Looks like Susan gets it from that preview clip.

Well, apparently not just you, since other people seem to have worked it out in the same way. Fortunately for me I'm not so observant.

They mess it about actually so it's not clear at all.

I clearly remember last year when they previewed the you're hired that in the actual show he pointed in a different direction. Because I thought I knew who was hired and it wasn't.

The clip at the end is the same every week. He doesn't turn in a different direction every week. It's a recorded clip used every week to fool the viewers into thinking it's the 'you're fired' bit for the next episode. It isn't.

How do you know this?

To me it seems to be a different clip each time with him pointing a different way which means it cannot be the same clip each week surely?

Its not always easy to judge where exactly he points but you get a general idea, and ive got most right the week before the next episode airs

I don't think it's the same each week but I don't think that what they show in the preview is what actually happens because they know people look out for the pointing!

Its not the same every week, and if you look the people shown are different every week you see where they are sitting briefly and then the direction he points and its different direction each week

The problem I have is I like (or used to like) watching the previews for the next episode to see what they will be getting up to etc but the problem is i'm quite an observant person so i notice where he is pointing (whether it be true or not) and I remember it when I'm watching the following weeks programme so I can guess who is going to go by who has come back into the boardroom and as such I have been able to correctly "predict" who was going to go the last few weeks - imo they need to get rid of the clip completely or just have a voice over of Sugar saying "Your fired!" to make it harder for people to find out and also to increase the tension.

The You're Hired Final episode is filmed differently. They film all possible endings so that news of the Sugar decision does not leak out over the months of waiting before transmission. Used to be that both finalists were filmed being pointed at with "You're hired" then at the last minute one version is transmitted depending on the Sugar verdict.

That's got to be so odd for the candidates with no acting experience

So even the candidates don't know who's won until it's broadcast? Do you have a link for this?
