Having said that I wouldn't be shocked if it was Jim.”

Interestingly enough I thought Susan because from what we saw on the Final Five programme her business looked to be running a market stall. Which for some reason really surprised me. I don't know why but, I thought she'd have a warehouse with lots of beauty products not a market stall.

I think he deserves to be there more that two of the others (Tom and Susan), as his strengths are stronger than their's, although there weaknesses are level.

I wasn't sure if it was nerves of the pitch that made him stutter over the numbers or he if he generally doesn't have a good grasp of maths that he couldn't just figure the digits right there on the spot. Either way that didn't look too good and, even though I think that's the first time that he's hiccuped on the numbers aspect, that would have prob solidified in my mind (if I were Sugar) that Helen or Tom top him in tht area. Over Natasha he's a better (overall) candidate but I think Melody was a better (overall) candidate than him (imho). I think he's competant in selling and can sometimes negotiate rightly (as in Savoy task) or wrongly (as in Magazine task).

With Susan I don't think there is any shame having a business that is a market stall (especially if it paid off the thing for the mum). I think it might be a leap for her to go from working on a stall to a bigger business alongside Sugar where there will be (i presume) more money and greater product detail (if it was say a world wide consumption) involved but maybe I'm underestimating her there.

He failed in demonstrating basic maths... he may well be terrible at it, maybe never even studied, but it's not uncommon for many in business today. One person putting their whole self in (perhaps too much sometimes), coupled with two people who are bickering is making a tough call against two people who work really well together.”

The task format didn't help. Someone astute might have taken Natasha with him to work up the business plan and make food to match. She would have then been blamed if it went wrong - either if she devised it or said nothing to him. That would mean leaving Susan alone to do something something though - so he can't do it.

Essentially though, Lord Sugar says hes looking for a business partner who can get it right on their own and making up the figures as you go along and not getting your costs, sales or production right doesn't suggest Jim's his man. Jims zero wins as PM can't look good for the show if he wins. Helen has filled in some of the last minute hole she dug last week and has 3 PM wins. Susan is young but she has the right CV, and two PM wins and a lot of good ideas. Tom has the Cv but he's made some howlers , been terrible as a PM,and seems not to want or be able to lead.

Pretty sure it was nerves. I recall him very quickly doing some mental long multiplication (I think) in the car last week. He mentioned in the boardroom that he'd been beating himself up about the 60x7 thing because he considers arithmetic to be one of his strengths, and that rang true.

But I agree that he's probably the weakest of the remaining candidates.

I've been a Jim fan from the start, and I still want to say "Jim to win" to a certain extent. Plus, I like a man who wears a three-piece suit
However, on the whole I don't think he actually deserves it - a place in the final maybe, but not to win. His strengths are very strong, but I just don't think this is the right thing for him.

FWIW my money's on Tom, I think he'll pip Helen to the post. Helen's edit tonight (imo) emphasised her need to control everything, which wouldn't sit well with LS. I think Tom is great in any case.

Susan will be the "with the greatest regret" candidate. Just my predictions anyway!

It's clear that you're a fan of Melody from many of your posts but I disagree that she should still be there. She doesn't have much to offer aside from talking about her supposed achievements to be honest. I'm fairly happy with the people who have gone through to the final for one reason or another.
