Looking at buying one of these, since my old nano is full, and I had to delete tracks to fit my A2 stuff on, and i'm starting a music degree in september, so need the space really!

Obviously it'll be bigger and heavier than my nano, not a problem, but would you recommend getting one? As in, are they worth it?

Also, I'm struggling on a colour, so I've stuck a poll up, as to which you think is nicer My current nano is black.

Yes, they are worth it.

I have it in silver. Although I've had a case ever since I bought it, and so I've never actually seen it without it

Might be worth waiting to see what the storage capacity is in the new iPod Touch due in September.

I wouldn't use any of the features of the touch though, my brother has one, and I'm not fussed for games or anything to be honest.

I too am looking at an ipod Classic 160GB in black.

I currently have a 2 gen ipod Touch 32GB that my mum gave to me when she got an iPhone 3GS 32GB and my iPod Touch only have about 7GB of free space left.

I only use my ipod Touch for music as I am not bothered about watching Videos on a small screen or playing games on it as I have a Nintendo 3DS for playing games on.

I just want to have an Ipod that has lots of memory so that I can put lots of music on it because I find that I have lots of music that I would like to put on my iPod but not enought space to do so.

Also there are a few albums coming out soon that I will be buying and putting on to my iPod.

Also the the iPod Classic 160GB is a lot cheaper than an Ipod Touch and you get a lot more memory on an ipod Classicand the extra things that an iPod Touch does over an iPod Classic makes me feel that the extra cost is not worth it as I would not use the extra things that an iPod Touch has as I just want to use an iPod for music and that is it.

So please could some one tell me if the iPod Classic has cover flow and what music options are there such as play list, artist, album, more?

And as the iPod Classic is more for music than the iPod Touch which is more of an multimedia device does music sound much better on a classic than a Touch?

Also how long does the battarie last on an iPod Classic 160GB?

And when playing music on an iPod Classic 160GB can you see a big picture of the album cover like I can on my old 80GB iPod which I brought back in I think 2007?

And if I buy an iPod Classic 160GB in black will I be able to use it with my existing iTunes and then get it to sink with my current play list?

And if you put an iPod Classic in a dock such as one that is connected up to a home cinema system like I have got does it charge the battarie?

My current iPod dock does not charge my Ipod Touch but does charge the battarie on my old 80GB iPod that I brought back in I think 2007. I fear that I may have answered my own question.

And to the original poster get the balck one it looks the best. If I buy an iPod Classic 160GB Then I will get a black one.

Thank you for the very kind help in advance TV King.

a lot of questions

the classic has coverflow, and you can use the same itunes and the album/artist/etc options are pretty similar to the iphone which i understand is the same as the touch. you can see the artwork when you play

sound better/worse/same - i don't notice any difference compared to my iphone but the more anal audiophiles will argue all sorts of stuff depending on exact model as different devices have different hardware. but for normal people you can't notice the different. the price difference it mainly due to flash memory being more expensive and the touchscreen is more expensive

about the charging, it really depends on the device you plug it into, but it charges via the same usb cable as the iphone/touch so if it charges one it should charge the other

i don't know how long the battery lasts as i've never had it run out. it lasts a long time. as you aren't playing apps etc using up batteries on it it might last longer than the touch. i guess you can google up stats on the battery but unless you need it to run for a loooooong time without being near a power source i wouldn't worry about it. it's many hours anyways
