You also have to remember that UK prices have VAT included so $0.99 should cost £0.74 when in fact Apple are only charging £0.69 so we still get a better deal.

But on the other hand, at £1.49, that's 0.6% more than the exchange rate. So, not a uniform % increase. Just a realignment into new price matrices. And not unreasonably so it would appear. But Apple are still evil though... right?
