Jeff's Homophobic Slurs
http://www.tmz.com/2011/07/13/big-br...phobic-attack/
Ignorant beyond belief. In his tiny mind Gay = Paedophile After reading about his latest outburst: he apparently was the exact same on his season. Yet CBS portrayed the guy as a fun loving lovely guy. Jeez we thought the UK producers edited people favourably but the USA takes the biscuit. |

Whilst I disagree with what he said (I'm gay) its because of political correctness like yours that the UK show was ruined, please don't do the same here. Let him say his opinions, he just makes himself look foolish. I agree, in order to have free speech we need to be able to hear things we don't like as well as those we do.I much prefer the streams on the US show as they are able to talk more freely, which makes it much more interesting. Otherwise.. it isn't free, we no longer have free speech in this country (UK) as a committed christian I experience this often. I once saw it summed up well in someone's signature - "I may not agree with everything you say, I may not even agree with anything you say, but I will fight for your right to say it!" |

His whole argument made me quite mad. Can't believe people still think like that. But I agree with those above that he shouldn't be kicked out or punished. That'd be overreacting. Big Brother's about getting people from different backgrounds and different mindsets into a confined space and see what they do and what they say. Their fellow housemates (and the public for America's Vote and also after the show) will ultimately decide their fate.
Besides, at least now I have someone to root against.

The men who had hated [the book], and had not particularly loved Helvétius, flocked round him now. Voltaire forgave him all injuries, intentional or unintentional. 'What a fuss about an omelette!' he had exclaimed when he heard of the burning. How abominably unjust to persecute a man for such an airy trifle as that! 'I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it,' was his attitude now.
S. G. Tallentyre, pseudonym of Evelyn Beatrice Hall, referring to Voltaire. Often attributed to Voltaire. |

I'm not defending what he said, I don't for a minute think that something like that should go unchallenged, and that wasn't what I said.
He said it, many others may think it, by being allowed to say what he thinks, it gives someone else the opportunity to educate him, and in turn the others who also think it, and inform them that it absolutely isn't true. However if it remains unsaid and therefore uncorrected, the thought can fester, and therein lies potential for not only comments, but more radical action. This post was begun with the term 'ignorant' and quite rightly so, but the only way out of ignorance is education. |

I personally don't think Jeff should be kicked out for it. Like others have said, he's allowed his opinion, even if it's a moronically stupid one.
![]() Things like this killed our Big Brother, and I'd hate for BBUS to be pulled under because an oaf like Jeff seemingly doesn't like gay people. |

It's a similar situation to Amber ranting about jews in BB8. Jeff won't be kicked out, and I agree that he shouldn't be either, but it's a good thing that his prejudice has been exposed all over the internet.
It's just a shame that he's edited to look like a 'sweetheart' all the time, and that the only exposure his bigotry will get is on the internet - it most likely won't be included in the highlights episode. |

![]() I recall aruond that time, he was driving me literally insane because of the constant sniping he kept making about Michele daring to play her own game! |

What a tool. No defending what he says, I hope he realises what he's said is completely wrong. Hope nobody in the hose defended him, even Jordan.

I am not defending what he said but I think it comes from a place of ignorance rather then hate.
As a gay guy, I think Jeff is cute. |

As a gay guy, I think Jeff is cute. I really don't think ignorance is an excuse. And if you ask me there is hate there. He has previous of it in his own series calling people fags and faggots. |
