Just heard from a friend that apparently, Dick left because his girlfriend was pregnant, but had a miscarriage.
I'm not sure if its just speculation, but if it is true, I genuinely feel bad for Dick. It would make sense why they wouldn't show any of him in the diary room too.

"BIG BROTHER" POSTS ITS BEST WEDNESDAY PREMIERE IN VIEWERS AND KEY DEMOGRAPHIC SINCE 2003
All Three "Big Brother" Premieres Sweep Their Respective Time Periods in Key Ratings Measures Last Night's "Big Brother" Up Double Digit Percentages from Last Year BIG BROTHER posted its best Wednesday premiere in viewers and key demographics since 2003 with double digit percentages increases versus last summer, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for July 13. From 8:00-9:00 PM, BIG BROTHER WEDNESDAY was first in households (4.4/08), viewers (7.25m), adults 25-54 (3.1/09), adults 18-49 (2.6/09) and adults 18-34 (2.1/08). Compared to last year's season premiere of BIG BROTHER 12 WEDNESDAY, CBS was up +13% in both households (from 3.9/07) and adults 18-49 (from 2.3/08), +15% in adults 25-54 (from 2.7/09), +17% in adults 18-34 (from 1.8/07) and added +860,000 viewers (from 6.39m, +13%). All three BIG BROTHER season premiere episodes won their time slots in households, viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34. This was the best WEDNESDAY premiere for BIG BROTHER in households, viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34 since BIG BROTHER 4 in 2003. (Note: BIG BROTHER did not have Wednesday episodes in 2009 and from 2004-2007). Source: CBS Nielsen: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/201...cd-fall/97983/ |

It's amazing how Big Brother continues to grow year on year, despite now being in it's 13th run, and 11th year on air.

On one hand, it'll be around as long as ratings thrive. On the other, so will Allison Grodner.

Allison Grodner is perhaps the most terrifying woman in the world. I always remember in Chima's meltdown, where she's refusing to come to the diary room for the standard Big Brother voice, and then all it took was, "Chima it's Allison, I'd like you to come to the diary room please" and Chima was up and out!

http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/07/14/bi...dick-donato-2/ Quote:
This wasn’t supposed to be an all-star season, Grodner says: She just liked the idea of bringing back dynamic duos that developed relationships while in the house. That doesn’t mean she and the other producers are opposed to scheduling another all-star season - one that comes with a twist, of course. “We think the idea of having an all-star show in the future that involves legends of the game with new all stars would be interesting,” teased Grodner.
First Julie Chen mentions Legends vs All Stars, and now Grodner herself. Hmm.
