Southland
Been watching it on one of those free internet sites. Think it's very underrated. Don't hear much about it as it's overshadowed by alot of the other US shows. Does anyone watch this? What do you think of it?

Well it's not "free" in the sense that it's still counted as watching it illegally.
We're still waiting for Season 3 on More4, but I do agree - I think it's a very good show. |

Yes, another waiting for S3.
I think it's a fantastic show & thought it was a shame that each season was so short. |

I watched this on more4. Am I right in saying they advertised season 2 as a second half of season 1? Is that why I'm getting confused and thinking I missed a season, as everyone's waiting for season 3!

Going on the episode numbers, I've definitely seen the first two seasons then. That's good, I've not missed any that have been shown over here then.

Yeah those numbers sound about right.
Think it's coming back to More4 in Autumn. |

I bought both series 1 and 2 off iTunes. If I recall they were pretty cheap.
I loved series 1 they totally defy character expectations. It's the male detectives trying to balance family and the job. Ben McKenzie from The O.C. plays a kid from Beverly Hills. There's lots of other that I don't want to spoil for anyone. |

Lucky you Jill1812, I'd like to get Series One & Two as well- I cannot wait for the new series.
Yes, I loved the show for it's authenticity & realism. I thought McKenzie was brilliant & surprised to not see him get major Hollywood roles. Beats the shite out of current leading men. |

Season 1 is starting on Channel 4 next week - Fri 7th Oct at 1:50 a.m (aka late on Thursday night). I've seen a couple of episodes at my mum's house but they were from the middle of the series, so I didn't really know who the characters were and what was going on. (We didn't have More4 at our house then.) Looking forward to seeing it from the beginning!

by the time it gets shown on uk tv you could have downloaded and watched series 4.
I like it and once season 3 started in the us, i couldnt wait so i have watched season 3. Its better than csi i think as that seems too easy as its always straight forward lead to the killer etc |

Was S2 shown immediately after S1 on its original showing here? If not, I must have missed it, as I only remember seeing one continuous sequence of weekly episodes.
I see that C4 is repeating S1. Hopefully they'll repeat S2 immediately afterwards. So I'll PVR S3 and save it until I've seen S2. |

I don't like CSI or anyof those other types of american police shows, it's just not my thing, yet i love Southland. Dunno what it is, cus it's not my type of thing usually, but i really do enjoy southland.
