Hello
![]() Just wanted to pop on with a little good news. I've been offered a 12 month contract somewhere else. I'm hugely relieved - its a funny kind of 'stay of execution' I guess, At least it buys me a little time.Anyway, whatever! I'm chuffed ![]() ![]()

So you disprove another urban myth, that women have no sense of direction and can't read maps.
Mother used to read the map, when dad was driving from the UK to Germany, but they would also take turns at the driving, as the journey took the best part of 24 hours. Great news BW. Who knows what opportunities will come along in the next 12 months. ![]() handy - I've managed one Bachelor and I've 2 more recorded. It's very so I need to pace myself, I think.

Not only that, but I can park with only inches to spare. But give me a flat tyre and I go all pathetic until someone stops and helps me. I've a feeling that there's a time limit on this and it's running out fast.

He can't choose as badly as Gavin Henson did... can he??? Here, the sky is full of clouds that look as though there's about to be an almighty crack of thunder Spectacular but slightly scary - it's wet enough out there as it is. I might buy a boat.

This is what us men can't do if you believe all the hype. What's it called again. Oh yes, multitasking.
My heart stopped beating as I was typing this in. Can't do two things at once you see. Oh shit, I've gone blind now, as I'm listening to something. Only joking ladies, but it really is an urban myth that men can't multitask, but you ladies can do it so much better. ![]() I used to work in second line support. **** number 1. That would be me using the PC. **** number 2. Would be on the phone talking at er with me. **** number 3. Would be an office colleague talking to me. And all at the same time. The mind boggles, how I coped with it all. ![]() I used to be able to drink tea, smoke a fag, while holding a telephone conversation and typing one handed... in my early office days. Good job they banned smoking in offices as I'd never have the ability to do that now

I'm chuffed ![]() ![]() ![]() On the subject of multi-tasking, I was always ok at this but then you get the added factor of a child and you become the mega-multi-tasker (X_Treme version) however, there is a bug in the system whereby every so often the system freezes and you have no idea what you were doing or where you were up to in any of the tasks and the only way to sort out the unholy muddle as the house of cards collapses is to go back to single-tasking 1.0 and do one thing at a time til all the jobs are complete. Maybe this is just me though

No, my system freezes too Plummy.
![]() And it's probably going to freeze today - I'm knackered. If I have the bedroom window closed it's too warm, and if I have it open the neighbour's cat gets in and snuggles up next to me in the night, which still gives me a shock. I found him getting comfy on my legs about 4am and by the time I evicted him I was wide awake. I've mentioned it to the neighbours (not that I'd expect them to keep him in - just to let them know what a turncoat he is ) and they were very surprised because he's not the friendliest of creatures, apparently.

Thank you everyone
![]() I went into my new place of work today. It seems they've also done a lot of 're-structuring (I've grown to hate that word!) but it's being handled totally differently (and a lot more fairly) than it was at my last place. They've put measures in place to be able to observe what will be needed long term so its quite possible/likely there'll be vacancies arising that will be suitable if I want to get that involved and if I don't, at the end of it I can just walk away. ![]() I feel great, like a huge weight has been lifted. Its FAB!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() jra - I'm in the dreaded educashun

Haha
I don't want to be a cat magnet! I'm a dog person!! ![]() Nero - for that is his name - is being very creative and definitely wants to move in. I might have to get some lion poo from somewhere, although having a house surrounded by lion shit isn't the look I'd go for through choice. Not much work is getting done here... still. I dunno... it feels very weekendy already. Might go shopping. |

Area adjacent to main building landscaped to deter intruders.
You've been an estate agent, right???Well, that's it. Four years of doing my dream job are now at an end, and I am working my way through some alcohol and planning to watch the Big Brother eviction and The Bachelor tonight as my reward for not spending the day entirely in tears.

It's not all bad snowBes... my dignity is intact and my self esteem remains too - it's a phenomenal c*ck-up by the county council but they will be the ones who pay heavily for it in the end.(Mind you the BB eviction is pretty grim...) xxx |
