Before I start with the flirting thing I need to know how old you are. 6th form or younger and we might have a problem.

Also, where is the melon? (this question is not directed at you BBWWF)

Also, school in mid August? (this question is directed at you BBWWF)

morning SnoWy - just

weather not bad - what to do with my afternoon ?

Our dog is driving me mad - since he came back from kennels he is scared to go outside and keeps "going" in the house. He has never been able to go when on a lead anyway - so the garden is always a mess but this is much worse.

Son is waiting on a yes or no to transfer to another course - scary times and possibly four more years of fees to pay. They never warned me about that at ante-natal.

The other is playing up due to new medication.

Beam me up, Scotty.

we are anxiously awaiting exam results here

Exam result stress here too

Amica - how big is the pooch and would a litter tray be a temporary solution?

Am meant to be out for a meal tonight and really don't want to go. Would rather stay home... it's not even a restaurant I'd normally want to be seen in

A) I'm 17 and in my 6th and final year of high school and B) We finish earlier than England for school holidays and we start earlier in Scotland.

The first day back was a bloody nightmare, all the classes are mucked up and things keep getting changed etc.

Here is the Melon!

Sorry, it's been a really chaotic few days, even by our standards! I shall give you the full story at some point but we're all fine and nothing really bad has happened.

Glad you got back safely, bats

(((((Monday deniers and generally grumpy peeps)))))

Hello, BBWWF - sounds like a typical first day back at school to me, and I speak from the teacher end!

It was awful. The only good was getting a part time college course today, but the rest was hideous, I have an English teacher who is SUPER demanding, not just pushy demanding but really harsh! and everyone in the class with the exception of two of my friends hate me and vice versa

That all sounds *totally* normal

Roll on finishing school and getting out to college/uni where people are less scared to be individuals... I made more friends in the 6th form (age 17 and 18) than in the rest of my time at school.

Agony, innit. Especially when you know the schools have the results today, they are enveloping them up as we type. Torture.

Had a letter from Computer People yesterday. Strange, I thought, as I haven't dealt with them for a while.

Then I looked at the date. 6th September, wait for it, 2000.

A true story.

It was for a job in Manchester. Maybe I should phone them up and ask, if the vacancy is still open.

The Universities have had them for ages. Hope it's good news for you all.

Go for it. The money might've gone up for a start...

Keeping everything crossed for those awaiting results. We're off the hook here as the boy knew at Easter that he got what he needed. But I remember the panic this time last year! Good vibes by the truckload ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

BBWorldWideFan - I'm afraid the flirting will have to wait a few years. I'll mother you a little bit if you like.

handy - yay, you're back!

I've already got one but there have been some cases where I've ended up becoming better friends with my friends mums

Today was so much better because I only had 2 subject and got to swan off at 11:35! and my English teacher has been changed

Just don't get why they can't issue them sooner - if she's passed, the youngest could potentially have to be there in just over 3 weeks - two of which we're away for - it's tough enough leaving home for the first time but they have so little time to prepare

Anyway, nowt we can do about it except be anxious right now. Not going to get much sleep tonight

Sending good vibes for exam results - I'm sure all will be well in the end!

If anyone's got some spare hugs going I could do with a few tonight. Nothing major, just a domestic, but I'm down dooby doo down down...
