So - with eldest returning from Uni and jealousies high - they have a scuffle. Youngest now needs surgery on his right hand and is off work for the foreseeable. Fab. He doesn't get sick pay but has a new phone contract and loads of clothes he owes for.

And still no sun!

Presume we are postponing till half term

Been clothes shopping for LittlePlum today so she is happy and I am poor! She had so few clothes for out of school that we are gradually trying to build up her wardrobe - she's loving it and turning into a little fashionista until she gets home puts on her new outfits and goes out and plays on the go-kart with the dog pulling it and comes in like a little grub! Bless her - I do prefer her in little grub mode

I've been saintly and done all my ironing of uniforms for the week, just time for a quick cuppa and a bit of a read and then it's on to making tonight and tomorrow night's dinners.

Mainly this afternoon I am being boredyboredboredbored of Boredsville. I rarely feel bored but this afternoon the boredom bug has hit me hard! I've got no-one to talk to - wahhhhhhhhhhh no-one to play with - wahhhhhhhhhh nothing good to do - wahhhhhhhhhhhh

Other than that, all is peachy

Kids! It's funny, when they're little and having a major strop you can't wait for them to grow up... and then they do!

As the saying goes.

What's the best thing about having children?

Being able to kick them out when they reach 16/18.

That's lost on me Sad, but SB still floats my boat, she's wearing well, if a bit too posh.

Older woman knee-tremble too ... only by less than a month. I'm off to Google Annabel Croft ... 10 years younger, urrr.

It would be nice to blame it on something that'll pass but it's been my age since I was 20 something.

I've been an occasional insomniac for too long... Busy brain, innit.

Haha.

Yes, going to bed with the Kindle was just what the doctor ordered. I clocked in 6 solid hours.

Hope you guys ended up having a decent night too.

I've got a slightly odd day ahead from me because I did loads yesterday and then stuff I was expecting hasn't arrived so I'm at a loose end. An unplanned free day. Cinema? Shopping? Cleaning the kitchen flooor... ?

More like two hours here. Compounded by the dog coming upstairs and licking my nose shortly after 5am when I had taken until at least 3.30am to crash out Bloody animal - never normally does that, still trying to work out how he opened the bloody doors!!!

Tonight, after a very busy day which felt oddly like Saturday, I will mostly be imbibing at a birthday party (it's my turn ). That's if we ever get there *gazes pointedly in direction of teenager*
