Stressed packing after Himself announced he'd booked two weeks in the sun yesterday. We leave silly o'clock Monday Morning. He is of course at work and I'm upto my eyes with packing.
Still... X-Factor is back and I love x-factor! |

Made it to the second stage but not as far as 'the judges' but thinks she might be in some of the footage. Poop. Mr Sad has gone to bed pie-eyed after trying to keep up with his brother drinking Jagermeister followed by Sambuuca... I don't know how to work the recorder

We are going to Turkey. We are leaving home about 2am to get to the airport in time for our silly o'clock flight. He came in last night and unpacked what I'd packed for me and this it what followed :-
Himself - "You don't have enough clothes" Me - " Eh? There's loads there" Himself - "You need a different dress to wear each night" Me "Don't be stupid. It's not a fashion show" He then unpacked what I'd packed for him and announced I had packed too much. State of play and living room not good at the moment. Oh well I've got the rest of today to repack, LOCK the cases and LOCK them in the boot of the car. I'll let him have a nose about our hand luggage to satisfy his curiosity after I've picked him up this evening from work. |

I'm jealous. Which part of Turkey?
Pack, then reduce by one half, is my motto. You can then justify buying clothes out there (cheaper than Asda, they'll tell you on the markets ) Mr PQ should do his own packing and mind his business about yours, if you ask me, but you didn't ask me so I'll mind mine ![]() Here... well, apart from Young Sad busting his only pair of glasses, necessitating a visit to the opticians who can only fit us in at 2pm and then can't supply said specs for another week *sigh* |

Happy holidays PQ.
Sad I imagine a repeat of X factor will be shown on another channel - perhaps you can record it then - as for the youngster, can't he use ready specs just as an emergency. Kitchen fitters will arrive Tuesday morning - say a prayer for me! Rather than live on aconstruction site, I had intended to spend a few days away and, let them get on with it. Tips and I don't make happy bedfellows; but in view of recent experiences I'll have to pig it and swallow the dust. |

I'll send vibes Iggy!
It's been a lovely day here and we managed a walk, followed by cakes. That's as busy as I like my Sundays really. A potentially hectic week starts tomorrow... |

Grumpies - would being together almost 30 years and married for almost 25 be extenuating circumstances to a Judge and Jury of my peers if I committed ABH or even GBH on Himself?
I repacked again today. Got #1 Slavette to go through the packing and chuck anything she didn't think we would really need, I was happy with her decision and we locked the cases and locked them in the boot of the car. " You only need one pair of dressy going out shoes Mum" as she discarded the gold and the silver and the three pairs of other lovely shoes I packed as I don't get a chance to wear them often at home. I did sneak the gold ones back in - I have a weakness for a bit of glitz. Anyways ... I picked Himself up from work at 9.30pm, we got home and he had to inspect the standard of packing. I was at the stage - ANYTHING for a quiet life. He was horrified I hadn't packed his favourite polo shirts. They have holes in them and such a clip they are only fit to paint or muck spread in now if desperate. By then I couldn't care less about a quite life. I stood my ground and the polo shirts did NOT go in the case. A very large Gin and Tonic would go down a treat but I do need to try get some sleep before we head off for Glasgow airport at stupid o'clock. Grumpies look out for Fred and Wilma look-a-likes and that will be Himself and I. Marmaris here we come! ![]()

Kitchen fitter was due at 8.30 a.m. phoned at 8 to say he'd been sent to a snagging job and wouldn't be here until 10.30 a.m.
Apparently the proprietor of the company phoned him at 8 p.m. last night but he thought that too late to contact me. It is now 11.45 and he is yet to appear.

I hope Handy dossed, I hope Tuesday was better for the Bats than Monday, and I really hope Iggy's not still waiting for the kitchen fitter.
![]() Here, I've managed to get sod all done other than some hair dying (topping up the hot pink tips of Young Sad's hair)...
