*sigh*
Feels as if it was centuries ago I was away on holiday. Before we went on holiday we ordered new bath, basin and toilet for our soon to be "Geet Posh Like" bathroom. Yesterday (our wedding anniversary) Himself went to check the sizes and how everything would fit into the bathroom. As it was a special day for us to remember I never uttered "I told you it was too big" - the basin we ordered is too big. Now this is where it gets silly. We have ordered a smaller basin and paid for it BUT we couldn't cancel the big basin without cancelling the rest of the bathroom stuff. What we have to do is take delivery of the big basin and then call the people up and ask them to come and get it. THEN when it's back in their system we will get the price of the big basin refunded. Oh well - with any luck the new bath and toilet and all the tiling will be done and when the small basin comes it wont be too big a job to fit it. |

Kitchen looking very glossy - but seems the fitter had the first set of drawings - not the revised version which actually included a pullout cupboard and pullout towel rail and panel. Can't fault the fitter, but by God someone will feel the length of my tongue today.
About to get in touch with the dealers - say a prayer for him! |

Ignazio - I hope you gave the muppet what for. A new kitchen is an expensive thing to get and that's not even counting the stress involved. I do hope they can get it the way you wanted it.

Watching X-Factor with the Combat Corgis and #1 Slavette.
Not brave enough to post anything about it in the official X-Factor bit. |

Well, we've all survived the first week back, including Melony who's knackered!
Looks like she and Mr M both have a sniffle - I'm bracing myself for a broken night... ![]() Wonder if Iggy's kitchen people still all have two ears?

"concerned"
I'm really finding How It's Made on Quest fascinating. I guess the info I absorb will be useful in a pub quiz one day. |

No matter - I'll let it fester and like a good wine it will be better for the keeping. Quote:

![]() Iggy - I'm so glad I'm nothing to do with kitchen fitting ![]() When he left last night he promised to return this morning accompanied by the Corgi registered gas fitter who would get the hob up and running. Fitter arrived and left - but no sign of the gas fitter..Cut a long story short, apparently the latter had an email from the kitchen fitter informing him of the job, but no address or phone no. was included and because no urgency was stressed it seems he didn't bother following it up. Hence a rather posh ineffective hob. Earliest the gas fitter will arrive is Monday - when my kitchen fitter departs for a two week holiday with the problem of the pullouts etc stillunresolved. Ah well! QUOTE=handymelon;52692451]Well, we've all survived the first week back, including Melony who's knackered! [/quote]Give the knackered Melony a cuddle - and yes handy, the ears of the kitchen people are intact - but only because they weren't available to take the ear bashing they deserved. KJ not the best week for you what with CP an' all. Positive vibes on their way.

Leeds 3 Crystal Palace 2 Iggy - what a carry on, and I can just imagine how much cash you're parting with! You'll get it all sorted, I'm sure, but it's not nice having to. handy - poor melons. ![]() Nuffink much happening here. We're trying to get our heads around university preparations and fitting in as many long walks as we can, while the weather is still okay-ish. It was really weird out yesterday, though - grey and very cloudy but really warm. Not the best for stomping around the countryside... |

I'm knackered but the antibiotics finished today and I've a two day course to look forward to tomorrow and Tuesday which is as it won't be as stressful as the normal stuff ![]() Iggy - I have visions of you lining all these bods up and shooting them. Hope it gets sorted - surely another fitter could do the 'adjustments' before the fortnight's up?I'm a bit worried about our KJ. He's gone ever so quiet. ((((((KJ)))))) |
