I'm cracking open the wine and chanelling Stephanie Beacham... which is bad news, given the silly o'clock my alarm is set for.

PQ, you make me do this -------->
![]() I'd have cooked that chicken, too, and a big plplpl to the food police.I know KJ for one would be right there with you! nature's law - I can totally understand you feeling paranoid after an experience like that. From my experience people don't really go ferreting about after your RL persona on here unless you get into a row with them; which I'm sure you haven't ![]() I'm a teacher so I try to be careful with personal info and no-one has ever "shopped" me or come after me in the seven-and-a-bit years I've been here. Iggy's right - what seems hugely significant to you will usually pass other people by completely. Apologies for my absence - am on a course of treatment through the NHS which onvolves me ratlling back and forth to the hopickle at what wold normally be my internet time. Normal service will be resumed etc etc. in the meantime: ((((((((((((((((((GoWs)))))))))))))))))))))) ![]() Hello handymelon. I got a bit freaked out (stupidly I know , when someone suggested a reporter might be on here looking for stories But paranoia is a weird thing eh?Sorry to hear you're having treatment. I hope you feel better soon ![]() I wish I could remember which threads I reply to I get lost every day

Thread tools... add thread subscription... select instant email notification. Usually does the trick although mine seem to be playing up this week.

I know they aren't all bad but I do have a few bad experiences Like on the day of my daughter's funeral. That wasn't good ![]() PS: I hadn't even noticed the thread tools before Thank you again

Tenko was first on when I was in my early teens, if memory serves. Fab series! Very GOW
![]() nature's law: Thanks for the good wishes! ![]() I should be fine soon if the pills and jabs do their thing. As for reporters - I can totally understand you getting paranoid, but, as Sad says, we don't use our real names and DS are really good about ensuring people keep their privacy. Sorry you've had such a horrible time (((((hug)))))) Mr M and I have been over in York today - a tot-free afternoon spent browsing the shops and (mais naturellement) visiting the glorious Betty's! Yay \o/ (We did buy Melony some new books from Waterstones, though, so she's not totally neglected )

Sod, jeff and naff !
Handymelon - You done Betty's Tea Rooms AND Waterstones! I think Betty's Tea Rooms and "lost time" in a book shop to be a perfect secret pleasure. I can spend hours in a book shop or library. Did you have to queue? |

Mmmmmm Betty's........ *echoes of Frank Spencer*
![]() Who ordered greyness and drizzle today? Pah ![]() Haircuts and clothes shopping for the eldest today. Young Sad dislikes shopping at the best of times and clothes shopping is the pits. Serves him right for continually expanding, that's what I say. Primark, Matalan, here we come. I have no shame when it comes to fast growing young people or nearly-students who have to do their own washing (advice from a friend - send as many pairs of boxers as there are days in the term. Honestly - I'm not sure I can cope with that concept...)

Have I been missing out on something all this time? ![]() ![]() Sad - My one's best mate has been talking about a tattoo, so I'm ever so slightly living in fear. ![]() Here, well, my sanity is being saved by friends with time for gossip and cakes. I had a bit of time for that today, thank goodness, and although we also went to York, we didn't make it into Betty's - the queue was sooooo looooooong... But wherever it was we went wasn't too shabby and we ended up having loads of cakes to share. I feel a bit porky now.

I wrote a big long post a few hours ago and the internets ate it. Grrrrrrr!
Anyway... 1) @ Mr Sad's reaction ![]() 2) We went to Little Betty's on Stonegate and only queued for about ten minutes. The trick is to go at about 3pm - they generally have a bit of an ebb then. Ish. 3) Been to hopickle this morning for a scan - no more jabs. Yay! \o/ Elven horse-tablet antibiotics to go, but all for the best, eh?
