Happy Christmas grumpers... this year I'm not sweating the small stuff - I've sent no cards, I've not even written any so I don't feel as guilty as usual

Kitchen floor is sparkling - himself dropped the 'chip' pan earlier complete with full complement of veg oil in it so it took lots of washing up liquid and hot water but it finally got cleaned up and I only slipped once while doing it... well I say doing it, I was randomly throwing kitchen roll at it while he sorted it out

Hope you all have a fab time - Plummy you keep your flipping temperatures to yourself, the only ones I'm likely to see for the forseeable are ones fixable with Calpol, glad it's all going well though lovely

Here, I'm ready - ma's been visited (she has another daughter just like me but while she doesn't like that one I'm great, apparently - oh well... ), we have lots of food and wine, there are some presents, and all but three cards have been sent/delivered. I have to say that leaving Christmas shopping until the last minute does sometimes work - the shops were empty (of people) and I got almost everything I wanted.

Santa has been!! I've clearly been bad as there are no presents for me Better bad than boring though

LittlePlum has opened her Christmas stocking and demolished more sweets than I thought possible but she is not looking green yet so that's reassuring! We're waiting for the Grinch (OH) to wake up so she can open her proper presents. He doesn't like Christmas much, so I expect the next little while to be a bit tense. He went to bed late and has to go to work in a couple of hours so I also expect hm to be grumpy - but oh well such is life. We're going to have fun anyway!

After we drop OH at work, we're going to a friend's house for brunch, that was a last minute invitation and very welcome as it will make it a bit more Xmassy.

Anyway, I better go but wanted to nip in and reassure you all that Santa is on his way! Hope you all sleep well and have a wonderful day tomorrow.

We've had one of the laziest and loveliest Christmas Days ever. Our only real activity was a couple of hours romping through the woods, and although there was a huge breakfast the main meal (Christmas dinner ? ) is only just now in the oven. I suppose we're on a *later schedule*.
