Hi Plum.
I've been enjoying your "Column from Down Under" - definitely worthy of a newspaper slot. You do have the gift - and not just one.Something tells me you'll survive the weather storm intact. ![]() .... and possibly a bit deranged Good evening/morning all It's raining but at least it's not hot - actually it was positively slightly chilly last night, relatively speaking of course. Nothing worth mentioning happened today, not that that normally stops me from mentioning them, but today I'm feeling kind and will spare you life's minutiae. Tomorrow you might not be so lucky ![]() Hope you all have a most excellent New Years eve eve. |

Yeah, you can only be non-specifially grumpy if you've got good grumping history, y'know
![]() I am not grumpy ... I am actually somewhat relieved and counting my blessings today. Doesn't happen often so don't get used to it

Hello, hooter!
![]() Come and grump/chat/hang out... Sad - glad you're feeling today. The blessings are out there; just we have times when we don't see 'em... ![]() I've survived a terrrifyingly busy food shop today thanks to Mr M running Tot Control and spending the entire time keeping her occupied/in an armlock as appropriate. This despite him having an abcess on his big toe which has necessitated him being on antibionicals all across Christmas and now on the second lot to take him into the New Year, poor lad. At least M is remembering not to stand on it now, after a couple of blood-curdling howls of agony early on! ![]() Tomorrow we're heading for the shopping park;I need some new black boots for work and Mr M meeds to go to the cut-price M and S. It's going to be horrible. I shall be back here for a good old swear tomorrow night ![]() ((((((((((((((Grumpies)))))))))))))))) |

By my reckoning Plummie will be waking up with her hangover round about now
![]() Happy New Year to those there already and here's to 2012 being an improvement on 2011. Already know it's going to have it's challenges but hopefully not too many more than those I'm already aware of and I wish the same for each and every one of you xxx

Good morning and Happy New Year to you all .... well it's New Year here ..... and nearly NY there!
No hangover for me as I don't drink, I'm dead boring me! Only reason I saw in the NY was because I've got a wretched tickly cough which is annoying to everyone when I lie down, so I ended up being up til 3.30 am, awake again at 5.30 and gave up and got up at 7. So my conclusions so far on this year is that 2012 hurts. I'm thinking that it's probably a temporary thing and my New Years Resolution is to give up sore throats and tickly coughs I had quite a pleasant evening at work yesterday, we finished early so spent the last 40 minutes watching tv and drinking tea - now that's what I call a job! The wicked witches weren't on duty, it's funny how things run much more smoothly when they aren't there! Had my shift for today cancelled though as the powers that apparently got in a panic about penalty rates on casual wages. I asked my manager yesterday when I saw him why had my shift been cancelled and at least he was honest about it. He could have made excuses about smaller load than expected etc... etc... but he said what it really was and whilst it's irritating, I have to respect his honesty. OH goes to work today, I think I'm going to go to the chemist and then have a quiet day. Hope you all had/are having a more exciting start to the New Year so that I can live vicariously through your posts Finally, I hope that 2012 brings only good things to us all but special hugs and positive NY vibey stuff to LL who is a real trooper! |
