In the meantime warmest wishes for an upturn in your fortunes, and again admiration for your courage, honesty and sense of humour. It should put life in perspective for many people. Life can be tough wherever in the world you live. ”

I think you flatter me. I'm not courageous, I'm a big chicken... sadly I don't lay eggs or I could be rich .... or I could be plucked and stuck in the freezer at the local supermarket. I think I've talked myself out of life as a chicken - the actual process of laying eggs too didn't really appeal I digress. My writing isn't really up to much, I just ramble on about nothing in particular. Sooner or later people would notice that while I can write quantity it lacks substance - a bit like eating a marshmallow or candyfloss, appealing in theory but not very filling or fulfilling Thanks for the kind wishes though and I'm really happy to see you around on the GOW thread!

Not much happening here, I got hit on the head with a glass bottle at work on Sunday night, I saw stars! Fortunately I have a hard head and I seem to be unscathed, although if the lunacy quota increases then maybe I can blame the bottle! I haven't hit the bottle though, it hit me

Boiling hot here again today, it would be nice for a bit of a break in the weather but maybe I'll just have to wait til winter. Always seems mad that I look forward to winter, but really winter here is like a perfect English summer.

Well I must go, nearly time to collect HWMBI from work for his lunch break - hmmmm now who can guess/work out what that stands for? The winner gets a koala! or a boomerang.

Just remembered another thought that occured to me....

For some strange reason it brought Professor Sprout from the Herbology department at Hogwarts to mind. Made me laugh anyway!

Husband Who Must Be Insulted

I've always wanted a koala

And you're so wrong about your writing, you're too entertaining to ever be described as lacking substance, ya great muppet.

I got hit on the head on Sunday by a hairbrush falling off a wardrobe ... just don't ask. I don't think it knocked any sense into me, either

So, happy Valentine's day. Through the wonders of the internets I was able to get Mr Sad both a card, and a present. Neither of which, clearly, he'd expected.

Ha! You got it - well done!! Send me your address and I'll send you a koala - not a real one though. They are lovely but they smell rank, Queensland is one of the few places where you can still hold one and have your pic taken, I've got a couple of lovely pics of LittlePlum holding one and one of me and the koala. LittlePlum held a HUMUNGOUS snake as well but I declined, as she was quite small they suggested she hold a little snake, but she said nope, it had to be the biggy but then funnily enough she got scared of the step she had to climb on for the photo - the snake didn't bother her at all.

Valentine's Day has gone by unmarked here. I used to make an effort but pffffffffffffft. Life's too short

Not much of a Valentine vibe here either. I got an email from my HWMBI saying you know I love you, don't you, or words to that effect. I said yeah, I do.

But then I did find our wedding certificate the other day and we were both surprised by the date. I tend to forget completely and he was a day and a year out, if that makes sense. So it's not as if we can be accused of being traditionally romantic... Make up for it in other ways, though.

I'm just an occasional visitor. I see Sad's settled the writing question, and although the prize has now been won for the puzzle, and knowing your sense of humour, I was going to suggest He Who Must Be Insane. If there's a booby prize you can throw me the boomerang, knowing that you'll eventually get it back.

Plummie - be my Valentine? ((((((((((((((((((((((huggles))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Just for once I got a card before Mr M did this year
We're having an Adults Day during half term next week, so saving the main smellybrayshuns till then.

And I haven't been hit on the head with anything recently... do you think it would help?

KJ - I'm chortling at you....

Sorry to hear that Snowy. It's miserable when it's a struggle to keep going.

Wise decision.

Quite warm here all of the sudden. Not exactly Spring-like but all the snow's gone and I haven't bothered with the heating. It would be lovely if this was a start of proper better weather.

Same here but allegedly there's another cold snap on the way just in time for the weekend We have the sun attempting to break through here too. Not quite enough to tempt me to get dressed right now though.

Tea, toast, and back to bed with a good book is what's called for I think

Go for it, Sad!

Have a second helping for me...

I've got my knee-length skirt on in celebration of the snowdrops and the hares that I saw playing in the field this morning on my way to work
(Still in wooly tights, though! )

Step back from the brink!

Bliss is trashing a pimple on the underside of your nose; it's all cartilage and you can't get any traction. It's right where the ring pull on a tinny makes contact. I knew I should have run the can under the tap, it's a fact they're covered in rat wee and for all I know my nose will turn into a plague buboe tomorrow.

You'll be watching Jeremy Kyle next. My ma-in-law found herself drawn in when she was stuck in the house for a bit and if JK can snare her no one is safe.

KJ - "ring pull on a tinny"? You're such a boy. Hope the nose survives.

Nope, still not succumbed

Feeling very grumpy today. Every bone from my hips downwards aches and I've had yet another night of very broken sleep. Getting decidedly fed up with it all. Grump.

Sometimes, the mental image evoked by your posts can be almost too much to bear

Hope the nose is better today. Nothing worse than a pimple and no traction

I was off work for four months and I didn't even put ITV2 on. Not one single second of Jezza. So there!

SadP is strong, this I know!

SadP - it'll get better soon, promise. Get past the four-week mark and it's much easier from there (((((((huggle)))))))

Here, I've got a busy day of Stuff. Training day tomorrow, so I want to get all the day-to-day things sorted and then I can settle back with a clear conscience!
