Woohoo for HM and her home internets - just in time for the weekend

Okay so.... it took a 75 year old last night to point out the bleedin' obvious to yours truly. Sure, the outside bits of me look well and good and I'm over the 4 week mark now. But it's your insides ... as she put it
Spoiler
'all wet and all those stitches' (sorry if that's TMI )
... so I'm going to stop being frustrated and remember my innards have been in the wars a bit and be kinder to them than I have been.
It's common sense, that's all.
Perspective check includes reminding self that an old friend who has leukaemia is only now - after 2 years of treatment and being in and out of hospital (currently in) - beginning to show signs of buckling mentally. Now THAT is courage.
Going to snuggle under the duvet and be grateful for what I have
Vibes by the bucketload to LL who has also endured more than a person should ever have to. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yep, Sad, it'll be a while before you can sneeze without screaming...
I'm four-and-a-half months down and still have a few lingering after effects - a few sore spots, a few numb spots, confused bowels and the sort of belly I suspect you have after a Caesarian.
The *good* news is that my general physical health is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better. So behave yourself, be nice to yourself and take all the time you need. *kiss*

That ought to depress me but it's oddly comforting to know that's all perfectly normal. They don't tell you enough, these doctors. I do feel much, much better otherwise
