Yay for Roger!
Guess he's feeling better, then

Freezing cold here again, supposed to rain later.

I'm up to the eyes in Stuff To Do, but hey-ho, eh?

Bank holiday approaching. Time to get things done, or not.

Talking about puddy tats. I saw one in the street yesterday who was looking in a pretty sorry state. I was going to phone the RSPCA, but said cat had disappeared in the meantime.

I'm Exceedingly Grumpy. About to withdraw my application for a job due to the unreasonable interview arrangements. They can get stuffed.

What handy said. If they're being unreasonable now then you're wise to see it as a huge red flag.

I slep for almost 12 hours. I can't remember the last time it happened.

Oh poop! I just wrote you a hugely long and philosophical post pondering the meaning of life and it's convoluted paths .... and then somehow I obliterated it .... the post, not the meaning of life and it's convoluted paths I think perhaps the universe intervened and wiped my post out as it was on reflection probably twaddle, and when I say "probably" you could substitute "almost certainly" and the thought would then be more honest

Suffice to say, I am still in the land of the living. Life is ..... well, it's as it is. I survive. I'm not Gloria Gaynor though, I never could get the hang of roller skates.

Sorry to read that things haven't been running smoothly out there for all of you, but I hope that things get better! I'm pretty sure that we deserve a time of plain sailing for each of us!

I shall be back and if you are unlucky you will get to read some of the philosophising of ChairmanPlum! except that that probably should be ChairpersonPlum to be politically and technically correct .... although not totally specific as in that case it would be ChairwomanPlum .... although "woman" doesn't sound quite as nice a word as "lady" which would then make me ChairladyPlum but that has the problem of making me think of char lady .... cleaning is not my forte!

Perhaps I better quit now before I addle your brains

If you knew me well jra, then you would know that I am incapable of just typing "42" Why type one word or in this case number where twenty words could turn even the most robust brain to porridge! Incidentally, 42 did cross my mind as I typed which is why I refrained from adding "the universe and everything"

Hope the weather has improved for you! .... and for everyone else for that matter!

I better go nudge YoungPlum into getting ready for school.

No polling station here. Little Saddette unimpressed as this was her first year...

In other news, I have definitely, indisputedly, absolutely made the right career choice.

Can't go into details but the utter knob who would have been my line manager has done something low and despicable which has shown him up for the vindictive, snivelling little sh1t he truly is, so that even our boss (who has rose tinted specs) wants to kill him now.

It's all horrible, and I am truly glad to be out of there at the end of the academic year.

Too effin' right. It's a good job I'm a firm believer in karma - someone had better get what's coming to him.
